It's getting to be that time of year again when children are heading back to school. We aren't starting school at our house until the first week of September. Most private and public schools in our area are starting a bit sooner, and a friend asked me to make a little gift card holder for her daughter's teacher. I decided to make a Library Pocket and I covered it with Black Chalkboard Paper from The Kraft Outlet.
I also used some washi tapes and Tim Holtz Ruler Ribbon from The Kraft Outlet, a small torn piece of a Nostalgiques sticker ruler, VersaMark white chalk ink, wide red May Arts ribbon, and I simply can't remember what company the Library Pocket is, but it was in my stash. There's plenty of room for my friend to tuck a gift card inside the pocket. I hope the teacher likes it.
Thanks for visiting me today. It's so nice to have you stop by and take a peek at this little gift holder. I look forward to visiting your blog and seeing your creations this week as well.
Blessings,
Karen

oh my gosh, Karen! This is so adorable! Really cute idea for a teacher! Schools started here the middle of last week. DD feels like her summer was too short!lol
ReplyDeleteLove this card Karen! My first day is tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove the drama of the black and the contrast with the white 'note'.
