Hello, friends! I hope you're all having a great weekend. I'm sharing a sweet little Pocket Card made with lots of great Really Reasonable Ribbon today, and it's filled with all kinds of little goodies from the store. You will be amazed at all they carry. Check out this sweet project!
My project for today was creating using LOTS of great projects from Really Reasonable Ribbon including the base, which is a Kraft Middy Biddy Bag With Vertical Stripes. And please...DON'T let the term "middy biddy" make you think that they're tiny. They're NOT! They are good sized at 5" wide x 7.5" tall. I took the Kraft Middy Biddy Bag With Vertical Stripes and folded the bottom of the bag half-way back up, and then machine stitched it down; leaving an opening/pocket at the top so that you can tuck in photos, a gift card, a special note, or anything else you can think of. This "pocket" will be in addition to the "pocket" or "hole" that automatically comes with the opening of the bag itself. I hope that makes sense. These little "Pocket Cards" make such a cute little gift because they're more than a card, and much fancier, but still just a simple little treat you can tuck in an envelope and send through the mail with ease. And everyone LOVES them!
To create this "Pocket Card", once the Kraft Middy Biddy Bags With Vertical Stripes was machine stitched and secured, I decorated it by adding a half of a vintage cream doily, some little tickets/scrap pieces, a Crafty Secrets digital image (birds in nest), a miniature clothespin with glitter that holds a tiny tag (stamped with "for you"), some vintage style scotch tape from Vintage Street Market, a little Jenni Bowlin button, and LOTS of great Really Reasonable ribbons and trims. They include the sweet Arianna Naural Crochet Lace, two leaves from the Moss Green Leaf Ribbon, Pink Aster Seam Binding, adorable Light Pink Gingham Ribbon, Natural Wide Burlap With Pink/White Wired Edge, some darling little Baby Pink Open Roses, rich gorgeous Deep Ivory Rosebuds, and a wonderful White Frosted Spiral Stamen. They all mix together so beautifully.
Thanks for stopping by to take a quick peek at my Really Reasonable Ribbon project for today. You can find LOTS more great ribbon inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and you can even play along in our current challenge for a chance to win some gorgeous ribbons of your own.
And of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon is a great place to shop for ribbons, laces, trims, decorative bags, flowers, and SO much more. Why not treat yourself today?
