Hello, all my creative friends! I'm posting today to share a second card I made to support my fellow blog friend (and very talented artist) Gracie as she celebrates the relaunch of her adorably sweet Graciellie's Digital Design Shop. Gracie has designed some lovely new digital stamp sets designed for card-making, scrapbooking, journalling, mixed media, and even home decor.
You should arrived here from the blog of my uber talented freind, Tenia Nelson and I'm sure you LOVED her sweet card. If you didn't come here from Tenia's blog, you can always head back to Gracie's Blog to get started. This is the card I created using one of her sweet new stamp sets called "Believe".
I printed the "Belive" sentiment from this lovely set onto a sheet of vellum paper. As soon as it came off the printer, I added gold embossing powder and heated it with an embossing tool to give the sentiment some texture. Did you even know that you could emboxx digital images? I just learned this sweet technique, and Gracie's sweet images emboss just beautifully with very little effort. I machine stitched the vellum to some patterned paper, and then added a sweet flowery seam binding and burlap string bow , some sequins, and a metal key from Prima at the bottom. This stamp set actually comes with two sentiments (of which I ued one). To see my first card using this stamp set, you can click here for my previous post.
This digital stamp set, along with all her other wonderful new sets, can be found in Gracie's Design Shop here. Remember to like and follow her shop to be the first to learn of new products, and hear about specials.
And Now.....THE GIVEAWAY! THREE of you blog hoppers will win a brand new digital stamp set from Graciellie's Digital Design Shop. To be eligible to win one of the three prizes, simply hop along to each blog and leave a comment telling us what you would love to create with one of Gracie's lovely digital stamp sets.
The next stop on the hop is at the blog of the sweet and talented Samra L, and I just know she will have prepared something delightful. She always does! The blog hop will run for one week, and the winners will be posted on Gracie's Blog, so be sure to stop back by her blog on February 8 to see if you're a winner!
Have a blessed week, and thanks for stopping by.

Your believe card is just beautiful. I have never used a digital image but I would like to try. I would make a card for my mother, she is over 90 years old. Ladyj711@live.com
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Karen - and yes, I have used printed vellum to emboss on numerous occasions - I love the technique, and it gives a unique look to the card, especially when custom making a card.

WOW! Love this embossed digi idea! This is a totally beautiful card, Karen! One of my favorites ever of yours! I really love it! So glad I came back to peek at these designs again because I missed yours in the hop somehow. Hugs, Autumn
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, Karen! Gracie has designed some lovely digi sets that I would love to use on my cards (especially her scripture word art). I am going to have to google embossing digis because I've never done that before but have seen it on this hop, and it looks so pretty! Your choice of gold for the embossing makes it look so elegant!
