Hello to all our ribbon loving friends, and welcome to the April Blog Hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon. You should arrived here by way of Cheryl's Blog; but if not, you get catch up quickly as this is not a long hop. And...one very lucky person who completes the hop, commenting along the way, and answering the final question on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog will win this month's GORGEOUS Ribbon Club Assortment.
For today's project, I'm sharing a fun little Easter project that I created using my Ribbon Club Assortment trims. I had my hubby cut me a wooden block, and I painted it white. I used Black Cotton Twill to cut his nose, and lengths of Black Burlap String for the bunny's whiskers. I created his ears by cutting pieces of burlap backed with pink striped material that I sewed together. In the centers of the bunny's ears, I placed strips of Light Pink Circus Dots Grosgrain.
Finally, I adorned the bunny's head with a length of each ribbon found in this month's pretty Ribbon Club Assortment including a length of the 5/8" Coral Rose Diamond Satin, 3/8" Coral Rose Miniature Plaid Check Ribbon, 5/8" Peach Delicate Stitch Satin Ribbon, 3/8" Lemon Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon, 3/8" Daffodil Checkerboard Satin Ribbon, 3/8" Apple Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon, 5/8' Turquoise Diamond Satin Ribbon, 3/8" Grape Plaid Ribbon, and 5/8" Purple Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon. I also tied in some of the burlap and a piece of Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.
I'd also like to share a couple photos with you today of a mini album I'm working on for my granddaughter, Taylee. As I've mentioned before, I love to use glassine bags because they're so sweet and because they create automatic "pockets" for photo or journalling cards. This is the front page of the album. At the bottom, you will see some pretty Mixed Pink Magnolia Flowers, Double Head Stamens, Red Burlap String, a Pear Shaped Rusty Paper Clip, a piece of Cotton Candy Baker's Twine and, from this month's Ribbon Club Assortment, a piece of the 5/8' Turquoise Diamond Satin Ribbon. You'll also a see a length of 3/8" Moss Green & Cream Gingham Ribbon on one of the photo cards tucked into the front pocket.
This mini album isn't completely finished yet, but I'll give you a peek at the next page. It has a length of this month's 3/8" Coral Rose Mini Check Ribbon. Then, on another of the photo mat inserts, I added a length of 1/2" Robin Egg Wrinkle Ribbon. There are just SO many fabulous ribbons and trims, Mulberry Flowers and more to be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
When I finish this little album, I'll try to remember to post the final pages. I really just wanted to share a bit of it because I was able to incorporate some of this month's Ribbon Club Assortment. There are SO many great ways to use these ribbons, and the Ribbon Club Assortment is a great way to always have the perfect trims on hand for every project.
Thanks again for stopping by to join us for this month's Blog Hop. Your next stop will be at my friend, Kathy's Blog. I know she has something fun prepared for you. And there's always lots of great inspiration, news about special sales and promotions, and so much more on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. We hope you'll stop by soon.
Blessings,
Karen
