Nothing But Kraft

This week at The Kraft Journal, the challenge theme is "Nothing But Kraft".  By using the sweet products found at The Kraft Outlet, it's always easy to come up with something to fit the challenge theme.  For this card, I started with a Lunch Bag Kraft Note Card and then took two pieces of Lunch Bag Kraft Card Stock; one that I cut as a mat, and one that I wrapped up in several of the beautiful colors of Baker's Twine available at The Kraft Outlet including red, yellow, dark blue, light green, hot pink, light blue, orange, dark green and brown/kraft.  I touched the edges of each layer of this card with cream acrylic paint just to make the edges stand out better, and then I added a Grungy Prim Tag that I tied on with even more Baker's Twine.  I added a Tiny Wooden Clothespin to hold the tag.   Pretty simple really!  You will find SO many darling, and super affordable I might add, products at The Kraft Outlet.  Check it out!
Now, I can't forget to mention the sentiment stamp I used on this card.  This "Thank You" stamp is from the You're My Hero Stamp Set at Paper Sweeties.  For those of you who are not familiar with Paper Sweeties, it is a DARLING little shoppe filled with sweet paper doll stamp sets, coordinating themed "outfits" for the paper sweetie dolls, heart-felt sentiments, sweet seam binding, and LOTS of great inspiration.  Paper Sweeties is offering the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to their store for anyone who wants to stop by and "Like" their page on Facebook.  Just stop by Facebook, "Like" their page, and let them know how you will show your support.  It's a great little company, and they would greatly appreciate having you say hello, check out their goodies, and help spread the word.  And......winning a $50 gift certificate is also quite WONERFUL!!!  Wouldn't you say?

I'm entering this colorful little card in the following challenges this week:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Simon Says "Let's Get Paper Piecing".  I used two separate pieces of Kraft paper that I layered to get the look I was trying to achieve for this card.

Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog - Challenge:  Rainbow Bright - I just love the bright colors that all this Baker's Twine creates.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed week!

Karen

  2. So excited to see you on another site. You are always so uplifting when you comment on my work at Word Art Wednesday and now I get to see some of yours. What an awesome card! Geat idea to use the twine. I have all different colors of twine and hardly ever use it as I can't come up with ideas for it. You rocked this challenge!
