Pretty in Pink

Hello to you all, my crafty visitors and friends!  I've been doing a lot of scrapping this week, but just haven't had the time to take any photos of my work to share with you all.  Whenever I have out-of-town company, I get out of my regular routine.  I will be sure to share all my new projects with you all early next week when my life is "back to normal".   For now, I wanted to share a quick card I made VERY late last night.  I wanted to make a pink card to send to a special friend.  So, before I finally crawled in bed last night, I made this card.

I used up some different scraps of paper from my work desk by stitching them together, adding some ribbon, and a few embellishments.  The patterned papers are Rusty Pickle and Pebbles In My Pocket.  There are three different ribbons/trims used on the card, a Maya Road stick pin, and a cork stick pin from Michaels that I embellished using a sequin with a small gem in the center.  The white doily is from Martha Stewart, the journaling spot is Cosmo Cricket Tea for Two, and the rub-on is Melissa Frances.

I'm entering this card in the following:

Red Carpet Studios - Card Challenge/Pretty in Pink - I made this primarily pink card for a friend of mine who has been struggling/going through a difficult time in her life.  I chose this sentiment (You Can Do It) to remind her that she is stronger than she realizes, and that everything will be alright if she just believes in herself and keeps trusting God.

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge/We're Getting Dotty - I used some polka dot patterned paper to achieve the "DOTS" theme - how cute!

I really do hope you're having a blessed week.  If I can be a blessing to you in any way, please leave me a comment here on my blog, or on the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog.  Thanks for stopping by to say hello today, and please visit again soon.  I enjoy your comments.

God bless you!
Karen
