Wonderful Word Art Wednesday

It's Wednesday, and time for another great challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  Our sponsors for this challenge are Classy Cards 'n Such, offering a $15 gift certificate; and Iralamija Shop as our digital sponsor.  Both of these prizes are AWESOME, and so worth playing for.  I know I'd sure be thrilled to win either prize.  And sadly, Classy Cards 'n Such is going to be closing soon.  So....that $15 gift certificate will go even further because of the awesome discount prices.  I encourage EVERYONE to stop by Classy Cards 'n Such to support Beverly, and take advantage of the awesome discounted prices on all your favorite crafting supplies.  And if you're not familiar with Iralamija Shop, you will want to stop by Bea's Sweet Blog or Melissa's Blog to get some inspiration on how to creatively use these amazing images; and then stop by Iralamija Etsy Shop to do some shopping.  Like I said, both of these sponsors are AWESOME!
I created two cards for this challenge.  First, the one I shared on the Word Art Wednesday Blog was created with some Crate Paper products, seam binding, machine stitching and pearl accent stickers.  It's got some fantastic colors, and I used some sweet new patterned papers that I picked up in Mesa, Arizona this past weekend.  I always love hitting a little scrapbook store there called Scrapbooks Etc.  My hubby was so proud of me - I spent only $10 at the store!
My second card was created using a piece of Crate Paper Restorations patterned paper, a Frantic Stamper Precision Die called Ovals & Filagree Frame.  Once I had my patterned paper cut to size, I added the frame die-cut that was cut from black cardstock.  Then, I re-cut the hearts from the corners using a pinkish red wool felt, and added them for texture and dimension.  My sentiment was inked and placed in the center.  That's it.  Frantic Stamper has several awesome frame die-cuts that really make it easy to quickly create a lovely card.  This particular die also contains seven nesting ovals so that you can layer the sentiment if desired.  All of Frantic Stamper's dies are easy to use, beautiful. and super versatile.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I really hope that you will join us at Word Art Wednesday for this fun challenge.  We always enjoy seeing the projects you create, and we look forward to visiting your blog to see what you've made.

I'm sharing my second card here:

  1. What beautiful cards Karen - I particularly like the second one with the stained-glass window effect of the die cut over the paper.

  2. Both your cards are just stunning, Karen! And good job spending only $10 at that craft store!
This verse is such an important one, isn't it? So many people think it doesn't really matter who or what you believe in as long as you have "faith," but Jesus is so clear that He is the ONLY way to salvation. Thank you for so faithfully sharing God's Word each week!

  8. Karen, it would be difficult to choose between these two cards. I love the ribbon on the first card and the colors are so subtle. But I just love the boldness and the little hearts in the frame of the second one too.
