Hello...

Have you ever seen someone else post a card, and said to yourself, "I absolutely MUST recreate this for myself"?  Well, it's happened to me more than once.  I enjoy being inspired by the creations of other talented artists.  For me, one of those people is the uber-talented Melissa Phillips.  And any time I lift one of her cards, or anybody else's; I always make sure to give credit for the original design.  When I first saw this card Melissa shared on Emma's Paperie Blog, I knew I would recreate it.  The only thing I didn't already have in my stash was the sheet of Admit One patterned paper, but I just ordered and received it this past week (along with some other new goodies).  I find lots of great inspiration on their blog, and enjoy shopping in their store (although their shipping is a bit high in my opinion).  But there are some things you "just can't live without", you know?
So, almost everything used to create this card is from Crate Paper including the patterned papers, and the 3-D telephone sticker.  I also used some ribbons, baker's twine, and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and a stamped sentiment (on the first card shown above) from Papertrey Ink.
Because I love this particular card SO much, I created a second one....nearly identical, but with just a couple of changes.  A little bit different ribbon, and the sentiment on the second card (shown below) is the Poppy Stamps Hip Hello die-cut.
I really want to thank you for stopping by today.  Your visits to my blog mean so much to me, and I really appreciate your comments.  I'm grateful for all my blog friends, and always enjoy making new ones.  If you choose to become a new follower, please know that I will also stop by your blog to follow you in return.

I'm sharing my fun phone card in these challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations - Challenge #366 - I love this color combination, and enjoyed incorporating the Poolside Blue, Petal Pink and Clover Green.  I also LOVE playing along at Cupcake Inspirations.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Create a Scene" - This is a familiar scene for any teenager.  Well, not this style of phone any more, but...you get the idea.

Poppy Stamps Challenge #22 - Fly Away With Me - One of the most difficult things I ever have to do is to literally "fly away" from those I love (all our extended family).  But knowing that they're always just a phone call away makes it bearable.  So that's my take on the "Fly Away With Me" challenge.

Scrapy Land - Challenge #45 - Anything Goes - I used a die-cut called Hip Hello from Poppy Stamps

Have a blessed day!
Karen
