Hello again, everyone, and thanks for stopping by! I'm back again today to share another fun card for the new Challenge #322 at 4 Crafty Chicks where I'm Guest Designing this month. This is my fourth and final card to complete my month with them. I've enjoyed their friendship and inspiration, and I know that they would love to have you stop by and play along with them. This week's theme is Coloring on Kraft. You can be really creative with this, and use any means you choose to add some color to kraft paper.
I used a kraft card and then layered another piece of kraft paper on top that I backed with a patterned paper. I chalked the edges of the kraft papers to help it stand out, and then I stamped a dotted background in Tim Holtz Green Paint Distress Ink to create a border on the left-hand side. I tied some Natural Burlap String next to it, giving this border even more definition.
To add even more color to the kraft paper, I stamped some cute little pumpkins onto the kraft paper, and layered them using 3-D tape to adhere a die-cut version of the same pumpkin stamps. I did my Coloring on Kraft using three Tim Holtz Distress Inks including the Green Paint, Barn Door Red, and Spiced Marmalade. I also stamped a sentiment on the side (directly over the polka dot background stamp) using Black Soot Distress Ink.
We would absolutely love to have you all stop by the 4 Crafty Chicks Blog to see all the great inspiration from the other chicks in the Hen House. Then you can link up your creations and play along with us. We look forward to seeing your creativity at work as you show us how you color on kraft paper.
Nichole Heady/Papertrey Ink Blog - Make It Monday #265 - Layered Dry Brushing - I shared this close-up photo to help show my dry brushing. It's subtle, but you can see it better in the second/close-up picture. I used lots of Papertrey Ink stamps on this card.
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes", so come play along!
Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Simon Says "Autumn"
Mod Squad Challenge Blog - Halloween Fun - For me, Halloween is all about PUMPKINS. I decorate my whole house with pumpkins, and make pumpkin cookies to hand out to the kids from our neighborhood who know us (strangers probably won't let their kids eat them) they count on it every year. Ya gotta have pumpkins on Halloween!
Joy Clair October Challenge - Color/Photo Inspiration - I used the Burnt Orange, Cranberry, and Black on this Autumn inspired card.
Thanks for visiting, and have a great week!
