If I had one word to describe my life, it would be blessed. Sure, life has its ups and downs. I struggle just like everyone else. But overall, I'd have to say that we, as Americans, are very blessed people. I try to stop each day and count all the blessings in my life. When life gets you down, just take a few minutes to think about how blessed you are; and soon, your troubles will float away and you'll find yourself a much happier person. That's what Mom always taught me.
I made this card with some scraps of Pebbles patterned paper, a piece of red tulle, Solid Green Baker's Twine, a Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson Olive Branch die, a Martha Stewart heart border punch, Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Ink, a Go West Studios wooden sentiment, and some little accent pearl stickers.
CropStop Challenge Blog - April Linky Party #27 - Anything Goes - I used Tombow Adhesive and Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Ink on my card.
As You Like It Challenge Blog - Favourite Shape & Why - I love to use the standard rectangle shaped card because I can use my clear envelopes to mail them. Using a standard "Forever" stamp, I can mail my cards with the pretty design showing for everyone to see, and that's why I prefer using this shape (almost all the time).
Mary's Cardz TV Challenge #6 - Mother's Day- Mom is the one who always taught me to "count my blessings", so this card is going to her. I want to thank her for teaching me to be grateful in every situation. I used Sketch #5 because I love the strips of paper that allowed me to use up paper scraps.

I encourage you to think about how BLESSED you are. It really makes you a happier person when you let go of the negativity, and just thank God for ALL the wonderful things in your life.
Be blessed,
Karen
