Well, HURRAY!! The day is finally here...it's April Release Day at Paper Sweeties, and you can own these two amazing new stamp sets - You Add Color To My Life and Love You To Pieces. There's also an adorable new Sweet Cuts set called Square Scalloped Frames, and they're SO cute. The You Add Color To My Life set is filled with artistic-themed fun including a crayon, an artist's palette, a paint brush, dripping paint, a paint splotch, and lots of other fun artsy images. I sure had fun creating this sweet card using this fun new set.
The first thing I did was to stamp Abigail and clothe her in a sweet little dress from the Sweetie Pie Stamp Set and then cut her out using my coordinating Abigail Sweet Cut for a precise trim. Please note that the artist's hat Abigail is wearing is not found in this set. I just thought it was a cute touch. I almost gave her a mustache as well.....LOL I stamped the paint brush on cream card stock, colored it with my Copics, and then dipped it in actual acrylic paint. The dripping paint at the top of the card is also found in the You Add Color To My Life Sweet Cuts.
You will also see that I added some of Paper Sweeties' ADORABLE flower-shaped sequins to my card. They are such a sweet touch, come in so many fabulous colors, and accent your cards SO nicely. I used one Sugar Sprinkles Sequin, one Peppermint Sequin, and one Blue Raspberry Sequin. I normally can't resist adding Paper Sweeties awesome Seam Binding to my cards as well; but this card already had so much going on that I had to hold off this time.
Here's the list of all the talented designers at Paper Sweeties who have prepared something wonderful to inspire you. Be sure to check out all the fabulous products, including these two new releases, available at Paper Sweeties. There's also a fun challenge on the Paper Sweeties Blog.
Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
Karen, love how the drips hang on the top of the card. That image is just too cute. Really like those flower sequins.
