Not that I need any encouragement to spend more money on crafts (LOL), but I found this stamp one day while I was shopping at Hobby Lobby when their stamps were on sale. I just couldn't resist buying it because of the lovely sentiment. I'm not really sure if I've even used it before; but when I saw it sitting there on my shelf, I just knew this was the perfect card for it. I used the Echo Park This & That patterned papers and products I've been playing with recently.
I also added a green paper leaf, and some flowers in maroon, coral and lemon to match the inspiration photo (above) from Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. I love this color combination, and knew immediately when I saw the photo that I wanted to play along. This is a perfect card to send my dear Mom. She just had cataract surgery, AND she's been having troubles with her 17-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Zoey. Just five days before Mom's eye surgery, she was faced with the decision to either put Zoey down, or put her through a surgery to remove a tumor. It was a difficult decision because they didn't know if Zoey would even survive the surgery. She came through like the feisty 17-year-old she is; but she's fragile (poor old girl). And since Mom has SO much on her plate right now, I just wanted to let her know that I'm thinking of her and keeping her in my prayers.
I will be sharing my card in the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. I love playing along when I'm able, and when I find challenges where my cards will fit the theme. I'm sure they'd love to have you play along as well. Get your crafty on, and come join the fun!

HI Karen, thanks for stopping by my blog. I looked on the SNS site and did not see the stamp and die set you were talking about but it I do believe the price listed it the full price and if you put it into your cart it will show the sale price. Hope this helps. If you see something you like grab it, they are going fast!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty Karen - and so thoughtful of you to send this to your Mum. Sometimes the extra thought/love that a card brings is a real boost.
