Playing In The Snippets Playground

Hello again to all my creative blog friends, and welcome by today for my second post as Guest Designer at Diane Wray's Pixie's Crafty Workshop/The Snippets Playground.  I hope you've been having fun creating cards using your snippets.....you know, all those little leftover pieces of patterned paper that you just don't quite know what to do with.  Well, this will give you yet another idea of an easy way to make a Christmas card using any snippets you might have on hand.  I used the same snippets as my card for the last challenge (well, the same patterned paper line that is) because I have so many leftover pieces from this Carta Bella Christmas Delivery line.  By the way, the winner of my prize from the last Snippets Playground Challenge is:  Entry #32 - Gail Scott.  Please contact me to claim your prize, Gail, and thanks for the shout-out on your snippets inspiration.

I used a piece of dark green Bazzill cardstock for my base (which, believe it or not, is also a piece left over from another project) along with a piece of white wood grain patterned paper that was lying around on my craft table.  And of course...those lovely little snippets of patterned paper.  They sure do come in handy!  I used a solid red snippets piece of paper to die-cut the bow.  Then, I used a small circle hand punch to make lots of little circles that I simply placed in a circle to create a wreath.  The sentiment in the center is from an old Kaiser Craft stamp set I found in my drawer.
I had seen this idea on Pinterest, and just had to give it a try.  What a fun, fabulous, and EASY way to use up snippets and create something pretty.  By using a small hand-held circle paper punch, I was able to create this fun wreath...just by getting creative with the small snippets/scraps on hand.  There's no end to the possibilities as to what you can create with your snippets.  Rescue them, and put them to work for you.  It's so much fun, and feels rewarding to be creative with what's laying around on your craft table.  We sure do hope that you will stop by and play along in Pixie's Crafty Workshop/The Snippets Playground.

And...as promised, I'm offering this prize (in addition to the prize Di has posted on her blog for the challenge).  Just a little extra incentive to rescue those snippets and play along with us.
You really can do all kinds of things with your snippets.  Be creative! What will you create using the snippets sitting on your craft table?  Let your mind wander, and do something unexpected with your snippets for this fun challenge.  Happy crafting!

Thanks for stopping by,
Karen

  9. I love that you used the same paper line for this card and the previous one! Your circle wreath is adorable, and a really creative way to use up snippets. This would be an idea to use all year round, just by switching out the papers.
