Welcome back to my blog today for a bit of inspiration in the new Winter challenge starting today at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog. There's a gorgeous inspiration photo to get you started, and lots of great inspiration from the talented Design Team as well. Just stop by The Four Seasons Challenge Blog for all the details and to play along. The inspiration photo doesn't necessarily need to be taken literally. It's just a focal inspiration or a "starting place" where your creativity and imagination can run wild. This is our last month (of three) celebrating Winter. We're super excited to see what you'll create.
My card started with black cardstock, dark pink cardstock, and then some pretty pink Christmas patterned papers I've had in my stash for several years. I just LOVE the pink and soft green color combination. I was inspired by the frosty Wintertime softness in the inspiration photo, the hearts, and the touches of ivory and pink, and greenery in the trees and on the front door. The inspiration photo made my want to somehow incorporate several soft, sweet things that I love - all into one sweet card.I tied some pretty seam binding around my card and tied it into a sweet little bow. I added some bundled pink burlap string, cocoa baker's twine, some red foam berries and a tiny little plastic candy cane. I wanted to add a cinnamon stick, but I thought it would be too bulky on this card. I do, however, adore the idea of placing a cinnamon stick on a card. So delicious that you (almost) want to eat it.I do hope that you'll stop by and link up ANY Winter themed card or project you create this month. We always appreciate seeing your amazing creativity and we enjoy visiting your blogs. You're always welcome at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog. Have a wonderfully blessed week.
