It's August and we're celebrating our 10th Birthday at Paper Sweeties this month. There are special sales and promotions, give-aways, a DARLING new release, and lots of FUN taking place. Be sure to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog this month as well as the Paper Sweeties Shop. You won't want to miss out on any of the fun.I used a basic black cardstock base and a basic white cardstock background that I rubbed with Speckled Egg, Stormy and Corduroy Oxide Inks. The sentiment (words) I used are found in the new Vacation Stamp Set. The palm trees, flamingo, wings, and cloud are also found in the new Vacation Stamp Set. I used the coordinating Vacation Sweet Cuts to cut everything. The additional cloud I stamped is from the Over The Rainbow Stamp Set.I used Spun Sugar and Ripe Raspberries Oxide Inks for the flamingo. How cute is he/she? I'm not sure if I used the wings correctly, but I stamped the wing twice and raised up the lighter pink wing with 3-D Foam Tape for dimension. I used copics on the palm trees. How cute are those palms and coconuts? I love that the Vacation Sweet Cuts cut out the tree including all those tiny little pieces in the branches, etc. It looks realistic, and you can see the background through the trees.Be sure to check the Paper Sweeties Blog this month to stay informed about all that's happening and to find links to all the inspiration being shared this month using the new Vacation Stamp Set/Sweet Cuts and the new Another Day in Paradise Stamp Set/Sweet Cuts. They're so much fun for Summer and you won't want to miss any of the excitement. See you again soon, and thanks again for visiting me.
I'm linking up here in these FUN challenge:
My Time To Craft - Challenge #487 - At The Ocean/Sea - By the Water
As You Like It Challenge Blog - Your Favourite Animal African vs. Australian and Why - I'm choosing the Australian/New Zealand and more tropical animals (like the flamingo). The reason WHY is because I love the islands and tropical wildlife - the birds, etc.
Colorful Options - August - Tranquil Turquoise - Well, I do see the word "options" and I also saw the colorful lollipop, so I hope my primarily turquoise card with a POP of pink is appropriate for this month's challenge.Stay creative, everyone. Happy crafting.
Blessings,
Karen

Karen: Thanks for linking to MTTC's ocean/sea theme! This is adorable! I love the ink smooshed muted colors of the backdrop and how those tones contrast with the black of the base, sentiment, and shape outlining! --Becca/DT
