This card was super easy to make. I used black and red cardstocks that I layered together using strips of Scor-Tape. I used Denim Oxide Ink to rub on some color using a star stencil (from WalMart). I also rubbed the outer parts of the frames with oxide inks. The sentiment in the center is found in the 4th of July Stamp Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.
Once I had all my papers and sentiment ready, I used more fabulous Scor-Tape to secure a length of the following trims: Electric Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon, Bold Check Red Gingham Ribbon, 3/8" Royal Blue Gingham and bundled Iridescent White Metallic String. I also tucked in several Lake Blue, Wine Red and Milky White Double Head Stamens.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, Karen! I love all the pretty layers and the lovely ribbons! The sentiment is one I have used for 4th of July cards in the past, and with my oldest having served on active duty in the Marines for 5 years and my youngest who is currently serving a 6-year contract in the Navy, I can vouch for the truth of this sentiment!
