Are you ready for a fun-filled Blog Hop with awesome prizes, great inspiration and loads of FUN? Well, if so; you're in the right place. You may have found your way here by way of Misty's Blog; but if not, it's easy to catch up by visiting the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Please be sure to visit each Design Team Member and leave them a comment. It's greatly appreciated (and it's one of the few rules to make you eligible for the prizes). One lucky person will WIN a $10 credit to Really Reasonable Ribbon AND one digital stamp bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs. This card was super easy to make. I used black and red cardstocks that I layered together using strips of Scor-Tape. I used Denim Oxide Ink to rub on some color using a star stencil (from WalMart). I also rubbed the outer parts of the frames with oxide inks. The sentiment in the center is found in the 4th of July Stamp Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.Once I had all my papers and sentiment ready, I used more fabulous Scor-Tape to secure a length of the following trims: Electric Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon, Bold Check Red Gingham Ribbon, 3/8" Royal Blue Gingham and bundled Iridescent White Metallic String. I also tucked in several Lake Blue, Wine Red and Milky White Double Head Stamens.Your next, and final, stop on this Blog Hop is at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll need to answer one special question. But again, PLEASE don't forget to leave a comment on each blog along the way. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and happy crafting.
Blessings,
Karen

Stencil Fun Challenge Blog - May: Anything Goes w/Optional Twist of "Girly" which I didn't really incorporate into this patriotic card. I used a star stencil (from WalMart) on the white cardstock base.

ReplyDeleteI have the same die! Gorgeous card and layers!
ReplyDeleteFabulous patriotic card and use of beautiful ribbons!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, Karen! I love all the pretty layers and the lovely ribbons! The sentiment is one I have used for 4th of July cards in the past, and with my oldest having served on active duty in the Marines for 5 years and my youngest who is currently serving a 6-year contract in the Navy, I can vouch for the truth of this sentiment!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the stenciling on this card. Your ribbon cluster is gorgeous...love the addition of the colored stamens. Horizontal ribbons are striking...good design choice. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love gingham ribbons and the stamens look great in there.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful patriotic card Karen
