When you need to make a card, there are times when you have all the time in the world. There are, on the other hand, those times when you need to put together a quick card. The art I'm sharing today is one of those quick cards that you can put together with great ease using just a few FUN products from Stamp Simply. Here's how I created this quick and easy card.I started with a basic white cardstock base that I layered with a piece of burnt orange cardstock. The third piece of cardstock is a light grey, and I pressure embossed it using the gorgeous Sizzix 3-DTexture Fades Foliage Embossing Folder to give it the rich texture of the leaves. This is how I created the base for my card. I also want to fully acknowledge that this card was inspired by a very similar card that was created by Jackie C. She totally inspired me on this one. Her colors and textures are far more impressive than mine. Hers is the "OG" and a much cooler card. I just love the design so much that I had to give it a try. So many of you out there in social media land inspire me more than you know.I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Artsy Leaves Dies to cut each of the leaves and stems from various scraps of cardstock. I used some 3-D Foam Tabs to raise up each leaf as well as the sentiment strip. The sentiment can be found in the Faith Stamp Set, and it was cut using a Fishtail Banner Die. I stamped the sentiment using Graphite Black Ink. Don't you just love all that wonderful texture? This card is one that you can put together using small scraps of patterned papers. You'll find so much fabulous inspiration on the new Stamp Simply Blog as well as up-to-date information about special sales and promotions. Believe me...you won't want to miss out on the SALES that arise. Thanks so much for visiting me here today. I always appreciate it more than you know. Have a wonderfully creative week, everyone.
I'm sharing my card here:
Pixie's Snippets Playground: Challenge #516 - I used lots of little paper scraps to cut my leaves and stems. This is a great way to use up small pieces. I also used a white paper scrap for my sentiment banner.
Blessings,
Karen
