Be Grateful, Be Happy & Be Blessed

At Really Reasonable Ribbon, you'll always find all the perfect ribbons, trims, twines and laces for sure.  But did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries useful crafting essentials such as Adhesives, 3-D Foam Tabs, Mulberry Flowers, Embellishments and much more.  If you haven't done so lately, please take a minute or two and stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to look around.  You just might want to treat yourself.  PLEASE NOTE:  I have a dear Aunt, Greta, who is about to turn 92.  If anyone would like to send her a Birthday card, please let me know and I'll give you the address.  It would be greatly appreciated.
Today I'm sharing a fun glassine bag project.  I decorated the glassine bag using patterned papers, stickers and ephemera from Carta Bella's sweet Spring Market line.  I used lots of Scor-Tape Adhesive to hold everything securely in place.  Before all the papers were in place, I used the Typewriter Text Background Stamp to create the fun background you see.
Underneath the watering can sticker (on glassine bag) as well as at the top left of my card, you'll see some bundled Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String.  This is another fabulous trim that comes in oodles of different colors and costs just ten cents per yard.  FAB!  On top of the Ivory Burlap String and Black Burlap String on my card, I added three Open Roses.
I also made a matching bookmark for my card.  I used the same Carta Bella goodies including the stickers, chipboard sentiment, etc.  Again, lots of fabulous Scor-Tape holds everything together.  I also did some machine stitching on my card.  The sweet sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and is one of so many great digital sets available in her sweet Etsy Shop.  The "Be" die-cut is from Simon Says Stamp, and the words "happy" and "be blessed" as well as the & die-cut are from Creative Worship.
I used more of the fabulous Solid Baker's Twines on the top of my tag.  Baker's Twine is the perfect trim for adding a matching bookmark.  It comes in both stripes and solids and also comes in so many fabulous colors.  I'm pretty sure I covered everything you see here. but feel free to ask if you have any questions.  Thanks so much for visiting and be sure to catch all the inspiration and up-to-date information on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog

I'm sharing this fun glassine bag, card and bookmark here:

The Night Before Christmas w/RRR

Ribbons are always a fabulous touch.  Ribbons, Twines and Trims can be used for SO many different crafting purposes.  And in my humble opinion, Really Reasonable Ribbon is truly the BEST place to find the variety of colors, widths, designs, styles and types of trims for all your crafting needs.  It's not often that I don't include some type of trim on my cards.  However......did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries essential items like Adhesives and 3-D Foam Tabs?  They really have a vast variety of crafting products.
I used basic cream cardstock for the base of my card.  I layered that with patterned papers from my stash including some old October Afternoon papers, stickers and an ephemera card.  I tied some rather long lengths of Baker's Twine around my card and tied a bow with it.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries both Solid and Striped Baker's Twines.  On this card, I used Cherry Baker's Twine and Solid Mint Baker's Twine to match my papers.
I used lots of fabulous Scor-Tape Adhesive to attach everything and hold it securely in place.  I used a cute die-cut from Paper Sweeties to cut my "Christmas cookie for Santa".  I cut it out of cardboard, and it's layered with 3-D Foam Tabs, and then the center is filled with red glitter to represent jelly or frosting in the center of the cookie.  The tiny iced coffee image is also very old, and it's from V's Sweet Ideas.
You can find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and that's where you'll also stay up-to-date about special sales and promotions taking place in the RRR Store.  You'll always find the best selection of Ribbons, Trims, Twines, Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers and much more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There's also still time to SAVE during the Labor Day SALE.  Details are on the Blog.  Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek and say hello.  I'm always grateful.

I'm playing along in these fun challenges:

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge - Challenge #45 - Anything Goes Christmas Coffee/Cocoa

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "STAMP IT" in STAMPtember - I stamped the coffee image.

As For Me and My House

When I was younger, of course, I had no idea who I would marry or where we would live, etc.  I did, however, know for sure from a very young age that I would always be part of a family that loves the Lord and lives for Him.  When I first married my husband in 1985, we were just 19 years old.  We had much to learn about life.  But praise God, we knew that our household would always serve the Lord.  This card and sweet sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs really celebrate that idea.
This card matches the Lord is My Shepherd card I posted a couple of days ago.  You could say that they're a set, I guess.  I used kraft cardstock and created a fun fold with a closure that opens to reveal a fun inside of the card.  The patterned papers I used are from the Colonial Americana 6x6 Paper Pad by Whimsy Stamps.  The little house I cut uses wool felt, patterned papers, a piece of Solid Red Baker's Twine and a very old die set from Papertrey Ink.
The sentiment I used can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle which is from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I added the sentiment to the tab enclosure that I created earlier in the process.  I attached the sentiment using Scor-Tape.  We all need Adhesives like Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, so why not grab them from Really Reasonable Ribbon?
You'll always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and lots of great shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks so much for visiting to take a quick peek at this sweet little card wrapped with Burlap String.  There are so many great trims (and SO much more) waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Happy crafting!

Blessings,
Karen

The Lord is My Shepherd

There's nothing like a beautiful Bible scripture or lovely sentiment to place on your card.  While we all love our stamps, they can get expensive.  By purchasing a simple bundle of digital stamps, you can easily and inexpensively expand your collection of sentiments and scriptures.  One really great place to buy those awesome digital stamps is Bonnie Garby Designs.  I love her digital stamps.  And of course, you're always sure to find the perfect ribbons, trims and twines at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used a light kraft cardstock and patterned papers from Whimsy Stamps.  I layered my papers and cut some smaller squares using a postage die cut from Papertrey Ink.  I placed the papers and random squares of paper around my card using lots of Scor-Tape to hold everything securely in place.  I printed my sentiment and placed it on 3-D Foam Tabs to raise it.  As I mentioned, the sentiment is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Scriptural Quotes Digital Stamp Bundle.
I took a very long length of Natural Burlap String and wrapped it around my card several times, tying it into a bow on the front of my card.  I absolutely LOVE Burlap String.  It's such a fabulous trim, it comes it so many great colors, and it's just TEN CENTS per yard.  One person who visits Really Reasonable Ribbon to see all their fabulous trims and leaves me a message here on this post telling me their favorite color of Burlap String will WIN a 10-yard bundle of Burlap String from me.  I will post the lucky winner's name in my next RRR blog post.
The sweet little sheep I added were created using cream and brown wool felt and were cut using the super cute Primitive Sheep Die Cuts from Whimsy Stamps.   They're just so sweet, and I thought they really went well with the sentiment.  Please be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon to do some shopping for Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers, and ribbons/trims galore.  Thanks so much for visiting me.

Blessings,
Karen

Bundle of Joy w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

It's always a blessing to have you stop by and visit me here in Blogland.  I appreciate you for it, and I really enjoy hearing your thoughts on my cards.  Today I'm posting for Really Reasonable Ribbon which is always a favorite for me.  While I love making cards all the time, there's just something about adding trims, twines and ribbons to my cards.  Of course, Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries basic essentials such as Adhesives, Embellishments and Mulberry Flowers.
I used black cardstock for the base of my card, and I layered it with patterned papers from a line called Oh Baby by Simply Stories.  This is definitely a much older line from my stash.  All the patterned papers and stickers are from this Oh Baby line.  I used a die-cut from The Greetery to cut the small postage stamp spots.
I used 3-D Foam Tabs for all the pieces that are raised, and I used Scor-Tape to adhere all the things that are flat (papers, stickers, etc.).  In addition to all the fabulous trims of every color, width and style you can image; Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries many crafting essentials.  You'll be pleasantly surprised just how many awesome products they carry.
I added some small Pearl Embellishments to my card and one of the tags.  There are lots of great Embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I added lots of Baker's Twine to my card and tags.  The card has several colors of Baker's Twine wrapped around it and tied into a bow.  Each tag has various colors of Baker's Twine at the top.
Here's another view of this card.  Below that, I'll share the close-up photo.  I just wanted you to be able to see how cute these papers and stickers are from the Simple Stories Oh Baby line.  The Scor-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs help hold all the cute papers and stickers securely in place.  The Baker's Twine is the perfect cost-efficient trim.
As I mentioned, here's the super close-up photo.  I hope I haven't shared too many pictures.  LOL  I never feel like my photos show all the details of my cards.  I guess that's just how my mind works.  We've all heard that "we are our own worse enemy".  Right?  The papers are cute, the stickers and cute, and the trims just make it all even cuter.
Thanks again for your visit today.  I'm so grateful for you and I really hope that you have a blessed and creative week.  Any time you think of ribbons, twines and trims; we hope that you'll always think of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  And don't forget about all the fabulous essentials they carry as well.  You'll find inspiration on the RRR Blog and lots of FUN shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,
Karen

Happy Birthday to You w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

It's always good to have lots of cute Birthday cards on hand.  We all need them.  Whether it's one for a kid, a man, woman, friend, or anyone else; there's always a perfect Birthday sentiment to be found at Bonnie Garby Designs and there's always a perfect trim to be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The card I'm sharing today uses both, and they're the perfect combination (in my humble opinion).
I used black cardstock for the base of my card and I layered it with patterned papers that are primarily from the Crate Paper line called Party Day.  I used these patterned papers to create my layered base including my sentiment which is from Bonnie Garby Designs and can be found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Set.  All my paper layers are securely held together using pieces of Scor-Tape.
On the left-hand side of my card, I tied a pretty bow that includes a piece of Solid Yellow Baker's Twine, Solid Red Baker's Twine and Green Apple Baker's Twine.  I know that I say this A LOT, but I really do LOVE Baker's Twine.  It comes in so many great colors including solids and stripes, it costs just TEN CENTS per yard, and it adds SO much to our cards, tags and projects.
You can always find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great bargains and shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You won't want to miss out on grabbing basics like Adhesives, Mulberry Paper Flowers and everything pretty.  Thanks so much for visiting here today.  I'm so grateful for you all.

Happy Birthday w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

When it comes to ribbons, trims, laces, twines, strings, ginghams, silks, grosgrain, and all things spooled; we know that Really Reasonable Ribbon is the place to go for all these fabulous trims.  However, did you know that Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries fabulous Mulberry Flowers, Adhesives, Embellishments and so much more?
This first photo (although not a fabulous photo) shows you both of the cards I created for today's post.  I combined some simple trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon with some awesome sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs.  They can be found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Bundle.  These fabulous digital sentiments make it easy and affordable to create beautiful cards.
This first card uses white cardstock and some various patterned paper scraps from my older stash paper bins.  I ran a length of beautiful White Satin Feminine Floral Ribbon down the left-hand side of my card securing it in place with Scor-Tape.  I also wrapped that side with a long length of Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine.  I strung several cute White Faux Pearl Flatback Hearts from the Embellishments Section.
Every single sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs is beautiful.  You can see how crisp and clear these sentiments look.  Stunning!  You will love all the wonderful options at Bonnie Garby Designs too.  And at Really Reasonable Ribbon, you can find so many great crafting products from Adhesives to Ribbons and SO much more.
My second card uses white cardstock and patterned papers from Echo Park Have Faith 6x6 Paper Pad.  The sentiment is also found in the Birthday Greetings 2 Digital Stamp Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  That pretty grosgrain ribbon I used on this card is called Roses w/Scalloped Edge on Navy Grosgrain.  It's sold out, but there's still a beautiful Coral version available.
If you don't yet have a "most favorite Adhesive", you will definitely want to check out Scor-Tape.  It comes it several great widths and it holds things in place securely.  That's one great thing about RRR...most of what they offer comes in several options.  You're sure to find several things to help you in your crafting.  Thanks so much for stopping by today to take a peek.  Happy crafting, everyone.

I'm playing along in the following challenges I love:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge - Challenge #600 - I'm entering my first Birthday card in this FUN challenge.  I also want to wish this awesome Design Team a very celebrated birthday/anniversary and to thank them all for providing us with fabulous inspiration and great challenges.....600 of them!

The Paper Funday Challenges: August - Anything Goes w/Optional Twist of Summer Vacation/Holiday - I used the Anything Goes option.  There are SO many layers of paper on these cards.  I absolutely LOVE this challenge and being inspired to use up my paper stash.  These papers came from deep down in my stash!  LOL  Come, join the fun!

Karen

July Blog Hop w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

If you're ready for a FUN and inspiring Blog Hop, then you're in the right place.  You should have arrived here by way of Misty's Blog; but if not you're able to catch up quickly.  The theme of our Blog Hop this month is Christmas in July.  I've combined some sweet die cuts with papers, trims, goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and a sweet sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs.  The prizes for this month's Blog Hop is a $10 credit to Really Reasonable Ribbon and two digital stamp sets of choice from Bonnie Garby Designs.  How sweet is this sentiment?
The Bonnie Garby Designs sentiment that I used on this card is from her The Heart of Christmas Bundle.  I cut it, and some of the other pieces, using a crimped frame from Gina K. Designs.  The sprinkles inside my mugs (gingerbread men and candy canes) are from Twiddler's Nook.  I tucked in several Double Head Stamens, a real cinnamon stick, and a length of both Black & White Bold Check Ribbon and Bay Leaf Seam Binding.  I tied a bow with the Black & White Bold Check Ribbon.
Because they're just so cute and I couldn't resist.....I made a matching tag/bookmark for this card.  I've been trying to remember to create a matching tag/bookmark and envelope when making my cards lately.  It's quick and easy, and even a simple piece of Baker's Twine could be the perfect touch every time.
The tag also uses lots of fabulous Scor-TapeBlack & White Bold Check Ribbon and a length of Teal Baker's Twine.  One of the reasons why I love Baker's Twine so much is because it's just ten cents ($0.10/yard) per yard.  Another is that it comes is so many fabulous colors - both striped and solid.  Baker's Twine is the perfect accent for tags, bookmarks and so many different projects.
I used several pieces of Scor-Tape in various widths to secure everything in place.  I also used some White 3-D Foam Tabs to raise the edges of the coffee mugs and some of the glitter-frosted marshmallows.  This was just one of those cards where I found myself adding more and more.....and then some more.  A small JenniBowlin blue ticket, a miniature Tim Holtz staple, Crate Paper stickers.  One of my signature cards where I just keep adding things as I go.
Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims, twines and touches for every card and every project.  I'm also always so excited about the fabulous Adhesives available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  OK, so your last stop on this Blog Hop is over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll answer one final question.  Thanks for joining us this month, and please don't forget to leave a comment on each blog.

Blessings,
Karen
