Crate Paper Little Bo Peep

Hello, sweet blog friends.  Thanks for stopping by to say hello and to take a peek into what I'm creating.  I needed to make a journal/card for a brand new baby girl being born to my friend's (grown) daughter.  Oh my, how the years have passed.  I remember when Carolyn and I attended our own baby showers; and now we're celebrating the birth of our grandchildren together.  Our daughters grew up in church together, and they played high school volleyball together.
Yes, the years sure do slip by us quickly.  Nonetheless, it's always a great joy to welcome a baby; and this one is going to be a girl.  Her name will be Emma Louise (which I love).  When giving the gift for her baby shower, I also wanted to include a cute card/journal that has some space for tucking in a gift card, photos, memories, journalling, etc.  Here's a closer look at her name:  Emma.
I used a cute Crate Paper line called Little Bo Peep (it's older) for the patterned papers, tags, chipboard, tabs, stickers, etc.  The base is a glassine bag (the size from Hobby Lobby).  I used Scor-Tape to attach all the patterned papers, etc.  At the top of the tag on the cover, (above and below) I attached a Tim Holtz Pin with some tied Oyster Baker's Twine.  I also used a PTI die and stamp set for the (Baby) hang tag.
There's a hidden pocket from the folded glassine bag, and there you can see a piece of patterned paper peeking out.  It's a photo mat/journalling cards, etc. and another cute little tag tied with a length of Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.  There's also a smaller glassine bag to hold a gift card, a couple different journalling tags, date stickers, miniature rusty paper clips, tickets, and ephemera.  Feel free to ask if you have a question about a particular item.
Most of you know that Crate Paper is my favorite, and that I always enjoy pulling out these older lines and creating with them.  I can always count on a cute finished product when using such adorable goodies.  I'll be tucking in a gift card, but I didn't want to write anywhere on this little journal because I thought the baby's Mama would  like to do that.  It sure was FUN to make.
This last photo (above) is just a shot of the back cover.  I figured I'd cover it in patterned papers and add a DATE sticker for documentation; and....it looks cute.  The card/envelope also has places for photos, journal notes, and little places for storing bits of bobbits, memories and more.  Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello and take a look.  I'm always so super grateful for your visits and your thoughts.  I hope you're having a blessed week.

Here are the FUN challenges where I want to play along:

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge Blog - Anything Goes - Challenge #2019 - Sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Pixie's Crafty Workshop: Pixie's Snippets Playground - Snippets Challenge #398 - As you'll see, I used lots of great snippets on this project.  On the insert pages, you'll see the small pieces I used to "piece together" a background.  I ink the edges of the scraps and attached them everywhere to make good use of them and give my projects layers of pretty papers.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog - Simon Says "Art Journal" - While this little journal is not in the style of the SSS Monday Challenge Blog whatsoever, it is still an art journal.  I created it with the intention of the baby's Mama being able to journal about the baby and keep it as a tiny album/journal with photos perhaps???

Cardz TV: Anything Goes #135 - I don't own any of Cardz TV Stamps, but I still like to play along.
