Autumn Is Here at Really Reasonable Ribbon

I've been having a lot of fun lately making cards that include some cross-stitching on them.  It's always so nice to know that Really Reasonable Ribbon will always have the perfect trims and Embellishments for every card I create.  They also carry the perfect Adhesives to help hold everything in place securely to stand the test of time.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has a bit of everything we need as crafters....and then some.

I used black and pumpkin cardstock pieces for my base, and I layered that with a piece of simple cream cardstock that I cross-stitched.  I found the (free) cross-stitch pattern on Pinterest.  I changed a few things to make it fit, and I used DMC floss colors that I had on hand.  Once my stitching was complete, I placed the image on my card securely with pieces of Scor-Tape.  I cut the blue border using the Scallop Border Dies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.

To accent my cross-stitched image, I used a three sweet trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon including a length of Brown Plaid Ribbon, Sharon White Crochet Lace and Solid Pumpkin Bakers Twine.  I tied a bow using another length of the Solid Pumpkin Bakers Twine and placed a Plaid Flatback Cabachon over the bow.  I added a few Double Head Stamens and some Mulberry Leaves.

Christmas JOY w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Are you ready for Christmas?  I'm most definitely not.  Luckily, our family isn't actually visiting until the day after Christmas, so I do get a little extra time to prepare.  I have been having a lot of fun creating Christmas cards and projects and picking up gifts and stocking stuffers.  Today I'm sharing a cute Christmas mitten filled with lots of sweet treats.  Really Reasonable Ribbon made it easy.

Oh my!  Where do I start?  I used a die-cut from PTI to cut that treat bag.  The base (back) is cut from cardboard and the front is cut from kraft tissue paper.  I machine stitched the edges to create the pocket where I could slip in goodies.  I added some peppermint sticks, candies, etc.  I ran some pretty Crochet Lace and some Red & White Gingham Ribbon across the lower part of the treat bag.

Each trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I added just made it cuter and cuter.  At the top of the mitten, I added some Black & White Bold Check Ribbon, some more of the pretty Crochet Lace and a piece of White Pom Pom Ribbon.  I also tucked in a few Milk White Double Head Stamens underneath the holly berries and ivy that were cut from wool felt.  I hung the mini kraft tag (JOY) from a Rusty Pear- Shaped Clip from the Embellishments section.  These adorable Pins are sold out.  But, for anyone (US only) who places an order at RRR this week and lets me know, I'll send you one dozen of these cuties.

Warm Wishes From Really Reasonable Ribbon

Welcome by my blog, everyone, and thanks for stopping by to say hello and to take a peek at what I've been creating.  Today I'm sharing a super sweet little project I put together using a few of the (many) wonderful products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This little thread-shaped tag/card will go on top of a gift.  I always know that, no matter what the project, Really Reasonable Ribbon will always have the perfect trims and adornments I need.

I started with a cardboard die cut thread spool shape, and I used a milky white acrylic paint for the base.  I inked the edges with some Burlap and Green Cut Grass Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.  I used some Spun Sugar Tim Holtz Oxide Ink to stencil some circles onto the background, and I dotted on a few pops of color here and there using pink and mint acrylic paints.  I did the same inking and stenciling on the miniature tag.

The spool image I stamped is Vintage Thread 2 from Inspired By Stamping, and the mini tag stamp is from PTI.  I wrapped a length of lovely Ivory Crochet Lace around the spool card.  There are many beautiful varieties of Crochet Lace in the RRR store in both ivory and white.  I used a Miniature Rusty Pear-Shaped Safety Pin from the Embellishments section to hang my tiny tag.

Finally, I added a few Miniature Double Head Stamens, some bundled Ivory Burlap String, and from our extensive Mulberry Flower category.....a White Sweetheart Blossom and two Pink Apple Blossoms.  I also used some Scor-Tape from the Adhesives section to secure the wrapped Ivory Crochet Lace.  Before I sign off, I'd also like to share this quick card with you using some fun Doodlebug patterned papers and embellishments.

I used white cardstock and inked the edges, added a few (4) different Doodlebug patterned papers that I machine stitched in light pink, and a Doodlebug acrylic ice cream cone 3-D acrylic sticker.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties, and was stamped onto a small die-cut doily using another patterned paper. The finishing touch to this simple card was a bow tied with Paradise Aqua Seam Binding and White Seam Binding.  Like I said, very simple.

Button Card w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, everyone!  Thanks for visiting me today as I share a few projects I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon including this cute "button card".  On each of the three projects I'm sharing today, I used lots of AWESOME products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I hope you'll bear with my rather lengthy blog post today as I share these sweet projects with you.

Anyway...I started with some fun Echo Park patterned papers, journaling cards, border stickers, ephemera, etc. to create my base.  Once I knew where I wanted to lay all my snippets of papers and stickers, I cut small strips of Scor-Tape to adhere everything securely to my cardstock base.  If you're not familiar, Scor-Tape is an amazing Adhesive, and it comes in several convenient widths for various projects.

As I mentioned, the button card itself is a journaling tag from this Echo Park line.  I made that the focal point of my card by adding things to some of the squares on the button card.  In the lower left-hand corner, I added a doily sticker topped with a Pastel Green Open Rose with its stem curled up all cute (that's because the stems are reinforced with a thin wire to help them do this fun trick).  On the upper right-hand square, I added a 16mm Pearl Heart Ribbon Slide with a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace pulled through it; and underneath that, you'll see several Flat Green Double Head Stamens and Flat Wine Red Double Head Stamens.

From the Ribbon Slide treatment, I used a Rusty Pear Shaped Safety Pin to hang a small die-cut tag that I stamped with the sentiment smile.  You'll also see, in the very upper left corner of my card, I attached a Plaid Cabachon to my card, again using a small piece of Scor-Tape.

I also decorated the inside of this card; and that's because I wanted to include a small glassine bag where I could tuck in a gift card (because this is going to someone who needs a little help right now in the way of some grocery money...so I'll tuck in a gift card).  I added snippets of patterned paper using more  Scor-Tape.  LOVE that stuff!!

I also added a length of Light Pink Gingham Ribbon, and also wrapped a nice long lenth of Teal Baker's Twine.  I topped that with a Pastel Green Open Rose and three darling Pink Miniature Sweetheart Blossom.  Can we talk about Baker's Twine?  At just TEN CENTS ($0.10) per yard, and in over 40 gorgeous colors including 13+ solids; Baker's Twine is such an awesome useful accent.

OK....one last card.  I promise this is the last one (for today).  It's just that when I start working with all the pretty Ribbons and Trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, I just can't stop myself.  I decided to make just one more card using this same Echo Park line.  I stamped the sentiment onto a die-cut doily and ran a long length of Cherry Baker's Twine around my card several times, and tied it into a bow.

I also ran a length of Black Gingham Ribbon across my card, and I used the Black Gingham Ribbon in my ribbon treatment along with lengths of Robin's Egg Wrinkle Ribbon, Red Wrinkle Ribbon, and Cream Seam Binding.  You'll also a Mulberry Leaf, several Red Double Head Stamens, Milk White Double Head Stamens, and Green Double Head Stamens topped with a Red Open Rose, Pastel Green Open Rose and an Ivory Open Rose.  Lots of pretty Iridescent Metallic String is bundled up underneath everything, and it sparkles when you see it in person.  SO pretty!
