Thank You/Paper Sweeties Sale

If you haven't heard yet, there's a SALE this month at Paper Sweeties, and you can get all in-stock Paper Sweeties Dolls, doll outfit/accessory stamp sets and dies AND all in-stock Gnome Stamp Sets, Gnome Accessory Stamp Sets and coordinating Gnome Sweet Cuts (dies) at 25% OFF through the end of September.  This is a great time to explore Paper Sweeties and the wonderful world of creativity that exists within this SWEET stamp shop.
Today I'm sharing a cute little tag I created using Jake.  I used kraft corrugated cardboard and the For You Sweet Cuts to cut my tag.  I stamped Jake in Black Coal Ink, colored him with my Copics, and cut him out using the Jake Sweet Cut.  I used the You're My Hero Stamp Set and more Black Coal Ink to stamp Jake's outfit, hat and the sentiments (Thank You and So Proud of You).  I tied some light brown baker's twine to the tag.
I used the Tackle Life One Cup at a Time Stamp Set for the cute little coffee cup.  I did this because this tag is actually a gift card holder.  On the other side of the tag, I attached a small kraft gift card envelope.  I added the sentiment strip and a Starbucks gift card so that this fine young officer (who happens to be my own dear son) can grab a cup of coffee or two while he's out there serving and protecting the community.
This is a wonderful idea to do with your kids.  Giving a gift like this to Police Officers you meet on a daily basis lets them know that you appreciate them and the job they are doing.  Paper Sweeties has lots of great stamps to help you make fun, encouraging and lovely projects.  And this month, many of them are on sale so don't miss this opportunity to SAVE.
Here are the links to each of my teammates' posts for today.  Each of these talented ladies has something extra sweet to share with you and will appreciate your visit, I'm sure.  Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, too.  It means the world to me.  From all of us at Paper Sweeties, have a blessed and creative week.
I'm playing along in here:
Time Out Challenge Blog - Challenge #222 - I was inspired by the sentiment.  This card is a Police Officer and, as we all know, Law Enforcement Officers literally put their lives on the line for others every day.  They truly are a rainbow in someone's cloud every single time they put on that uniform.  I've had the privilege of being married to one, and now, our son is also in Law Enforcement.  He's definitely the rainbow in MY clouds.

Cut It Up Challenge Blog - Challenge #260 - So Proud of You - As explained above, this tag/gift card holder was made for my son who is working in Law Enforcement just like his Dad did.  I am so proud of his willingness to serve others and to serve God.  The die-cuts I used include Paper Sweeties tag die, PTI heart die, Stamp Simply Banner Die, and the Paper Sweeties Jake die.

Blessings,
Karen

Fun With Paper Sweeties "Dolls"

One thing I recall loving about being a little girl was the time I spent playing with Paper Dolls.  My Mom would buy me lots of different types of Paper Dolls because she knew how I loved them.  I took good care of them for sure; folding over the delicate little paper tabs with great care as not to bend or break them.  I do believe this has a lot to do with why I feel SO blessed to be on the Design Team at Paper Sweeties.  Among ALL the other wonderful things they carry, the Sweeties Dolls are always favorites for sure.
Over the years, I've enjoyed playing with Emma, Sophie, Madison, and Jake.  I love to use all the ADORABLE different outfit stamp sets, accessory stamp sets, and to create cute little scenes with my Paper Sweeties stamps to create a variety of different scenes; each filled with fun and adventure.  This card is much the same.  Jake is on an adventure to explore the deep blue seas.  Oh, and did I mention that they are all ON SALE?
Once I had stamped and cut Jake, I stamped and cut the boat, message in bottle, fish, Jake's outfit, and sentiment using the Ahoy Matey Stamp Set and the Beach Therapy Stamp Set. The background was quickly painted using blue oxide ink combined with more and more water moving upward.  You won't want to miss this AWESOME SALE at Paper Sweeties.  You can get all Paper Sweeties Dolls, doll outfit/accessory stamp sets and cuts, as well as all gnome stamp sets and cuts at 25% OFF this month.
The Paper Sweeties Dolls are SO much fun to create with, and all the other sets complement each other so perfectly. Be sure to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog often for even more inspiration and information about sales and promotions. Here are the direct links to each of my talented teammates' posts for today. I'm sure they've got some Sweeties Dolls inspiration to make you smile.
Thanks again for visiting.
Blessings,
Karen

Meet Jake from Paper Sweeties

Welcome by again today, crafty friends.  I'd like you all to meet my buddy, Jake.  If you've never met Jake before, you'll quickly learn that Jake is one cool guy.  He's always surrounded by pretty girls like Abigail, Sophia, Maddison and Emma to name a few.  Jake is always stylin' in the most awesome outfits too; and Paper Sweeties is where you can find ALL the latest fashions for the Sweeties.
One thing about Jake is that he just LOVES to dress up for the holidays.  For Thanksgiving, he's chosen to wear this adorable Native American Indian costume to commemorate the relationships forged between the early settlers and the American Indians.  You can find this adorable Autumn Blessings Stamp Set ON SALE this month at Paper Sweeties along with loads of other Sweeties (dolls), outfits and accessories.
As you can see, I used one of the sentiments found in the Autumn Blessings Stamp Set to decorate the outside of my matching envelope.  This is such a fun thing to do, and it makes your envelope look almost as cute as your card.  Who wouldn't love getting a card like this on Thanksgiving?  It's just SO cute - just like all the stamps and products at Paper Sweeties.  I encourage you to stop by and take advantage of this FABULOUS sale.
This SALE allows you to  mix and match any Sweeties (dolls) stamps, the coordinating Sweeties Cuts (doll dies), and all the different outfit/accessory stamp sets for the Sweeties.  And let me just say that there a lot of great choices.  This is the perfect time to pick up some Paper Sweeties and join all the creative excitement.

I'd like to thank you again for stopping by my blog today.  I'm grateful for each and every visit, every comment, and all the blog love I get from you all.  You inspire me, and I hope that Jake has inspired YOU to take a peek at Paper Sweeties.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Paper Sweeties Dolls & March SALE

Welcome back by my blog, everyone.  Again today my Paper Sweeties teammates and I are sharing more fun and inspiring projects using the Paper Sweeties Dolls and their clothing/accessory sets.  This month (March) at Paper Sweeties, you can pick up any 3 of these products, and get 1 FREE.  There are complete details listed on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  I always enjoy pulling out the Paper Sweeties Dolls and creating with them.  They're also a great gift for "tweens" who are past "paper doll" years, but still enjoy being creative.  Hey.....I'm 50(something) and I still LOVE playing with my Paper Sweeties Dolls.
The fun card I'm sharing today features our favorite guy at Paper Sweeties; and that's our buddy Jake.  I always enjoy using Jake and his darling outfits.  I stamped Jake in Coal Black Ink, colored his skin and hair with my Copics, and cut him out using the Jake Sweet Cut.  His pirate's outfit, hat, boots, fish, message in a bottle, and sentiment stamps are all found in the Ahoy Matey Stamp Set.  The boat is from the Beach Therapy Stamp Set.
My background was water colored in blues (Pinkfresh Sapphire Blue) with an ombre effect - the lightest being at the top.  I started at the bottom, and as I added more water (diluted) going upwards, I got the lighter blue tones in the sky.  I attached all the pieces in the water to create my scene.  I used Copics to color the fish, boat and message in a bottle.  The many FUN and versatile stamps and products at Paper Sweeties will help you create the sweetest cards and projects.
Be sure to stop by the blogs of my talented teammates today and again tomorrow.  There will be LOTS of great inspiration using the Paper Sweeties Dolls to promote the special  Buy 3, Get 1 FREE SALE this month.  We always enjoy your visits, and you'll enjoy Paper Sweeties.  Thanks again for stopping by my blog.
Blessings to all,
Karen
