Praying for Rebecca

My Bible reading this morning took me to Psalm 61:1-2 "Hear my cry, O Lord.  Attend unto my prayer.  From the end of the earth will I cry out to Thee.  And when my heart is overwhelmed:  lead me to the Rock that is higher than I."

I am SO thankful that God hears my cries, my prayers, my petitions on behalf of others, and myself.  I am lifting up a young lady in prayer - her name is Rebecca.  She is 18 years old, and she nearly died yesterday.  She fell from a second story window, and she went through surgeries yesterday.  Rebecca, who is a brilliant, vibrant, beautiful girl, will never walk again.  Her spine has been broken.  She is lucky to be alive.  If you think of it, please pray for her.  When she wakes up today, she will have A LOT to deal with.  She needs the comfort of our precious Lord.  If anyone wants to mail her a card (here in Las Vegas at the hospital), please let me know and I will provide you with an address.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

  4. Oh dear Karen, how awful for poor Rebecca. I will most definitely keep her in my thoughts. I have been through 2 major spine surgeries to date with the chance of more in the future so I completely empathise with poor Rebecca. Your card is really gorgeous. Lee xx
