Please don't let that title fool you. I'm not sad (it's not that kind of "blue"); but rather, I fell in love with a blue color combination I saw over on Nichole Heady's Papertrey Ink Blog, and I knew that I just had to make something using that same gorgeous color combination, When you see Nichole's original card, you will know just what I mean......it's lovely!
I had to work with what I had (as I'm sure you can all relate), so my card isn't exactly like Nichole's. But I was definitely drawn to her amazing color combination. Rather than using stamps as she did, I had to use die-cuts to create my flowers. I also loved how Nichole had black on her card base, with small accents of black on the bright flowers and white background. I layered the wool felt flowers and used black buttons for the floral centers, and tied Ivory Button String in the middle.
Papertrey Ink - Create Along With Us: I was inspired by Nichole Heady's Card (you will definitely want to take a peek). I loved her color combination, black base and black accents, which completely inspired me on this card. While I didn't have the PTI floral stamps Nichole used, I recreated the color combination the best I could using wool felt, PTI floral dies, and PTI leave dies. I also drew my lines around the stamped sentiment to (somewhat) recreate the fabulous new sentiment frames in this month's new release at PTI.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Something New", so I used some of my brand new wool felt, and a new color combination.
I really appreciate your visit to my blog. Have a wonderful week.
Blessings to you all,
Karen
