Welcome back by my blog, everyone. And thanks so much for stopping by again. It's always such a blessing to have you visit, and I'm always beyond grateful to have you leave me a comment. I had the opportunity to create another card "just for fun" today, and I really wanted to be able to play along in a couple of challenges I saw out there in blog land.
I used some silver, glittery specialty papers by Recollections (from Michael's) for my background (silver dots), for the fancy background die and inner oval (music paper), and for one of the rolled roses (polka dot). I used spray adhesive to attach the fancy background die to the polka dot paper.
Then, I added the inner oval which has vellum in its center. I used a Kaiser Crafts stamp for my sentiment, embossed it with silver embossing powder, and centered it as the focal point. I used my My Favorite Things/Die-Namics Heirloom Rolled Rose Die-Cut to cut the flowers from black felt and specialty paper. I placed some Green & White 2-Toned Mulberry Leaves, pearl gems and sequins in the flowers and on the card.
I just loved the sketch at My Favorite Things this week, and really wanted to create a card to enter in their challenge. Then, I found a couple other challenges where I knew I could also link my card.....and there you go. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this one. I don't normally have good luck when I heat emboss, but this image embossed so nicely. Of course, I feel that the card is so much prettier in real life. I wish I was one of those gals whose pictures of her cards actually represent how pretty they are; but unfortunately, my photography skills aren't anywhere near expert status.

P.S.
ReplyDeleteIs there any way you can add a "Subscribe by email" option to your sidebar? I would love to visit every time you post but unfortunately, I am very forgetful as I take a lot of medication and unless I receive a blog into my email inbox, I will not remember to visit someone's blog, or remember the blog addy for that matter. I would love to keep up with you and would love it if you could add that option.
Hugs,
Jo
