Gift Card Treat Bags

Hey, friends!  Today I'm sharing a couple of quick little treat bags I made using some small popcorn bags my BFF had left over from a party.  She didn't know what to do with them, so we decided to make them into little gift card bags by folding them over, covering them with patterned papers, and sewing them to create a gift card "pocket".
You just fold the little bags from the bottom up, add your papers, machine stitch them into place, and decorate them however your little heart desires.  We used some Oh Darling products from Crate Paper, and added some sweet embellishments.  The first bag has two patterned papers, a PTI Doily Details die-cut of vellum, a chipboard roller skate, two hand-rolled felt flowers with tiny Mulberry Leaves and mini pearl accents, and some Ivory Burlap String.  Here's a closer look at it:
In making these sweet little treat bags for giving gift cards, you automatically create two pockets.  This way, you can tuck in a gift card as well as a note, some candy sticks, a photo, etc.  They are a really cute idea for when you want to give a bit more than a card; but not a huge gift.  They're just perfect....and SO much fun to make.  Not to mention, a great way to use up little bags.
The second bag (above) uses inked patterned papers, a Maya Road ticket, some 3-D flowers, a wood accent piece (pink arrow), a small bow of Natural Burlap String, a little button, and some Debra Natural Crochet Lace.  I also added a flag at the top with a die-cut (thanks) sentiment.
SO much cuteness!!  If you have any questions about making a little treat bag like this, please don't hesitate to ask.  In fact, I have about 100 of these little popcorn bags; so if you want some...just let me know and I'll pop some in the mail to you so that you can give it a try.  But in all honesty, this works with ANY size bag (lunch bags, etc.).  Here's where I'm linking up:

Dies R Us Challenge Blog - Challenge #76 - Layers - I used several die-cuts including a doily die-cut, a sentiment die-cut (thanks) and a rolled flower die-cut.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Summer Sunshine - These gift bags are for Summer birthdays, and I kept the colors bright and fun; especially the Summer flowers!

Double D Challenges - Pastel Party - I love using pastels!!  They're so soft, and remind me of Summer.

Thanks for visiting.
Have a blessed day,
Karen
