Well, I've been playing along in a few challenges lately which is a very nice and welcome change for me. I always enjoy being challenged, and it's been fun trying some new and different things lately. This card, however, is more of my regular style and less of the mixed media vibe I've been chasing lately. This particular kitchy Bo Bunny collection has been laying out in my craft room for quite some time now (hasn't been properly put away) so I tend to grab it more often than I normally would. Yes, I'm lazy sometimes, and I do have a few things that need to be put in their cubbies.
Anyway.....I started making this kitchy little card very late last night. I sorta laid it out, and then I got sleepy and had to walk away from the scraproom table before I fell asleep there for the night (lol.. not really, but you know what I mean). So, I finished this card earlier this morning when I first woke. At that point, it still needed the sentiment, so I decided to use "Happy Day" from a Picket Fence stamp set for that.
The finishing touches include some die-cut hearts cut from wool felt in deep red and deep yellow/gold, a Maya Road canvas tag, some bundled Black Burlap String, Black Baker's Twine, a stick pin, and some Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms. There's a Tim Holtz rusty paper clip at top left, and a Melissa Frances flower rub-on at bottom right (on yellow tag). I'm all about layers, textures, and lots of fun embellishments.
Thanks so much for visiting me again. You're truly the best blog friends a girl could ever ask for, and I appreciate you all so very much. Please feel free to ask any questions (if any) about my project, and I'm more than happy to answer. And, of course, if you know of another good challenge, I'm always open to suggestions.

I'm playing along these fun challenge that I love:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Simon Says "Tag It" - This is Entry #3 for me. This card is much less of the SSS Monday Challenge style than my first two entries, but since it has two tags on it; I still wanted to enter it.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Something Feminine" - This is Entry #3 for me in this challenge as well. I love to play along when I possibly can.
Pammie's Inky Pinkie's Challenge Blog - Anything Goes Sponsored by The Cutting Café.
