It's New Release Day at Paper Sweeties

Paper Sweeties!!  It's time to continue our 8th Birthday CELEBRATION at Paper Sweeties, and we're so glad you've chosen to join us again today.  There's an awesome new product release, special sales and promotions (please read the entire list of August promotions and sales on the Paper Sweeties Blog), lots of great inspiration, and SO much more.  You can use this code (KarenL8) to save 25% on all orders of $50 or more.  And, for every $50 you spend, your name will be entered for your chance to win a $100 gift card for Paper Sweeties.  Our Design Team is participating in our own promotional/motivational event; so if you do purchase from Paper Sweeties, I ask that you please use MY personal code (KarenL8) for your purchase discount.  Saving 25% is a considerable discount, and that makes this a great time to pick up a sweetie (doll stamp), an outfit set or two, some stamping accessories, SALE.

Oh, my heart!!  Each time I start creating with the two New Release sets from Paper Sweeties, I fall more in love with the images and sentiments.  They're SO much fun to play with, and the creative possibilities are nearly endless.  Yesterday's card I shared featured the adorable ice cream cone image, and today I'm sticking with that same Summer theme and using the popsicle found in the new So Sweet of You Stamp Set.  It's also another great image for CELEBRATING our 8th Birthday at Paper Sweeties.  Don't miss out on your chance to stock up on Paper Sweeties cuteness during this month's special promotion and sale .  It's the perfect time to treat yourself just a bit.
I stamped the popsicle twice onto white cardstock using the Coal Ink Pad.  I colored the popsicles with  my Copics and added some ultra-fine glitter to top these yummy treats with glimmery goodness.  I stamped the popsicle sticks on some cork paper, and I used the So Sweet of You Sweet Cuts to cut both parts of the popsicle; and I just kinda married the two papers together so that my popsicle stick looked a bit more like the wooden handle you'd see on a real popsicle.  I just LOVE each of the cute and versatile images in these new sets.  They're just FUN!
My card base is black cardstock layered with some patterned papers that I inked with Ballerina Ink and a darker pink, and my sentiment (found in the new So Sweet of You Stamp Set) is stamped onto the For You Sweet Cut Tag.  I water colored a quick background, and added some touches of paint.  At the top of my tag, I added some Bubblegum Seam Binding, some Strawberry Seam Binding, and I topped that with a wooden button strung with pink baker's twine.
At the top right of my card, I stamped and cut two sweet little flowers also using the new So Sweet of You Stamp Set and Sweet Cuts.  I added a touch a ultra-fine glitter to these flowers as well as the popsicles; just to give them that sweet kiss of yumminess.  I also strung a width of the Bubblegum Seam Binding across my card and attached a thin vintage lace just below that.
Here are the links to each of my uber-talented teammates' blogs.  Just click on a name, and you'll be taken directly to their Paper Sweeties' post for today.  They've created some really adorable projects using these darling new sets.  You won't want to miss any of the inspiration, or any of the FUN and festivities this month at Paper Sweeties as we CELEBRATE our 8th Birthday.
I hope you'll stop by again tomorrow.
Blessings,
Karen

I'm linking up here:
Mod Squad Challenge Blog - Patterned Paper Trio - On this card, I used three different pretty pink patterned papers from Crate Paper.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - Midsummer Blues - My answer for the "midsummer blues" or ANY kind of blues is....ice cream and popsicles.

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog - Summer Memories - Again, ice cream and popsicles are my BEST memories of Summer.  That's what makes it FUN and memorable, right?  A cold popsicle or ice cream cone on a hot Summer day.....YES!

As You Like It Challenge Blog - Favorite Color to Pair With Pink/Why - When I used pink (and I use it a lot), I like to use other shades of pink with it.  For instance, on this card I used primarily pink; but I also drew in darker pinks, lighter/brighter pinks, and some subtle dark touches.  The reason I  like using different shades of pink together is because the entire pink spectrum speaks to me.  I love the subtle pink contrast with the bright pink.

Craft-Dee Bowz Challenge Blog - August: Anything Goes - My bow is made using Seam Binding from Paper Sweeties.
