Today I'm sending hugs to everyone because, quite frankly, we can all use a good hug. Right? So this one goes out to any and all who are needing a BIG HUG. Consider yourself hugged as I share this fun little project I created this afternoon. I had a friend who had asked me for a recipe the other day. She also needs a hug....if you know what I mean. A little pick-me-up. So, rather than just hand her the recipe, email or text it to her; I thought I'd make something cute to give to her at church tonight. I wouldn't mind receiving a cute little recipe like this.
I used a long skinny glassine bag and I attached some Kaiser Crafts patterned papers to create a background. I painted a wooden spoon (from Hobby Lobby) with pink acrylic paint and tied some Black Licorice Baker's Twine around it. The stamped sentiments and images are from Paper Sweeties. I placed the images on small torn scraps of canvas from my fabrics stash. I machine stitched the edges of the canvas scraps.
The small heart on the spoon next to the word hugs is a Doodlebug ephemera that I got from Paper Sweeties in my 2nd Quarter Sweet Kit. It's filled with oodles of CUTENESS including these darling stamps and dies. I'm excited to play along in a few fun challenges that I'll list below. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this HUG I'm sending out to y'all. I know there are some days when I really need a big hug. Please know that any time you're feeling down, someone out there is thinking of you and sending hugs your way. We all need each other. Have a blessed day!
