Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? No pressure, of course. It sounds like we won't be putting up our tree this year. It's a long story, and I won't get into here. But let me say this....making cards with the beautiful Christmas Joy Stamp Set from Stamp Simply is almost as fun as trimming the tree. These gorgeous ornaments are SO much fun.
I used white Bazzill cardstock to create this card. I inked the edges of the bottom layer with Broken China Oxide Ink, and inked the top layer with Spun Sugar Oxide Ink. I stamped the ornaments found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set; but as you can see, I stamped them very lightly with Hickory Smoke Ink. I did some oxide ink water coloring on each ornament, and I painted in some of the shapes. I also added some lines and dots with a black Sharpie. I realize this lends to an imperfect look, but I like it.
The cute lines I stamped coming down from the top of the card are also found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set. There are three styles of these ornament lines in this set. The sentiment I used on this card is also found in the Christmas Joy Stamp Set. I ran some Black & White Gingham Ribbon across the card and tied a bow with it on the left side. Oh, and of course, I used the coordinating Christmas joy Dies to cut those pretty ornaments.
One lonely little sequin was the finishing touch. There are SO many fabulous stamps and dies at Stamp Simply as well as ribbons, stencils, embossing folders, and much more.
