Welcome by today, everyone. It's time for a fun new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. This time our challenge theme is Mother's Day. You can create anything you like that includes ribbon of some sort. I made a sweet miniature memory album using a small glassine bag that I folded over and covered with inked patterned papers. Once my papers were all attached, I decorated this memory book with two die-cut doilies, a decorative wooden button, some inked paper flags, and some ribbon flags cut from Brown Center Stitched Burlap Ribbon, Pink Plaid Ribbon, 3/4" Pink Chevron Striped Twill, and Brown Plaid Ribbon.
The photo page/journalling card, cover and pages of my glassine bag memory album are trimmed several Really Reasonable Ribbon trims including some Debra Natural Crochet Lace, Pearl Pink Grosgrain With Scalloped Edges Roses, Natural Burlap With Wired Edge Pink Stitch, Ivory Burlap String, Cotton Candy Baker's Twine, and Brown Sugar Baker's Twine. I even added a White Flat Back Pearl from our awesome Embellishments category.
There's an inside page where you can attach a photo and do some journalling. There's also a natural pocket in the glassine bag where you can tuck in personal notes, trinkets, photos, and memories. Using paper bags, glassine bags, etc. is a great and easy way to create a quick mini album....and Really Reasonable Ribbon can help you create one!
Obviously, an album like this....with all its papers, and these gorgeous trims, needs to be well put together so that it will hold up and stand the test of time. I did use my hot glue on a few essential elements; but the majority of this book is held together with Scor-Tape. This is one of RRR's AMAZING Adhesives and it really helps keep all your papers, ribbons, and embellishments securely in place; and Scor-Tape comes in a variety of widths for various projects.
Thanks for stopping by today. I really hope that you will visit me again soon, and that you will join this fun challenge. As you can see, I made a gift for Grandmother, and we'd love to learn who YOU are celebrating this Mother's Day. So....be sure to stop by here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and share your Mother's Day themed projects with us. We enjoy having you play along with us at Really Reasonable Ribbon. We hope to be your number source for ribbons, trims, inspiration, etc. Come by, and join the fun!
Have a blessed week,
Karen
