Welcome by my blog today, friends. I was lucky enough to have some alone time today, and I had time to make a few cards. This one was created with some beautiful patterned papers that my SUPER sweet friend, Jill Norwood, mailed to me. I fell in love with these papers when she used them; and sadly, you can no longer purchase them. Jill was gracious enough to send me some of these sweet patterned papers from her hoard. Now, that's the sacrifice of a sweet and gracious friend. Thanks again, Jill.
Along with these precious papers, I cut two strips oof vintage sheet music and one strip of floral pattern paper and used an older Martha Stewart heart border punch to create a few layers of border with a soft touch. I did ink the strips of punched vintage sheet music and pattern paper using Tim Holtz Walnut and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. Above the border, I laid a width of Oatmeal Seam Binding and used more of it to tie a big fluffy bow. I topped that lovely bow with some Ivory Burlap String, and a pink glass button from JoAnn's.
For the sentiment on this card, I cut the word Hello using the new Brush Script Hello die-cut from Frantic Stamper's May Release, and I inked it with some Tim Holtz Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. I specifically incorporated using vintage sheet music, a punch and a die-cut on this card to qualify me to play along in some fun challenges. I don't always get to link up in challenges, so I'm always a bit giddy when I do get to play along in a few of my favorites.
Have a blessed week, everyone. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about my card. I'm so grateful to have you visit.
Karen
