Welcome back by today, everyone! Today starts a brand new Anything Goes Challenge at Paper Sweeties using this SUPER SWEET Inspiration Photo. I just fell in love with this image, and quickly had all kinds of great ideas racing through my mind. I can hardly wait to see what YOU will be inspired to create this month when you see the photo. All of us at Paper Sweeties sure hope you will play along!
OK....I do realize that these are apples. And yet, I went with strawberries on this first card. But that's the beauty of an "inspiration photo challenge" because you can pull ANYTHING from the picture that inspires you. I fell in love with the red gingham, and the feeling of country, cooking, and fruit. I pulled out a few of my Paper Sweeties favorites to create this sweet card.
I started with some patterned papers that I machine stitched together. Then, I stamped Madison in black ink, cut her using the Madison Sweet Cut, and colored her with Copics. I dressed Madison by stamping her outfit onto patterned paper with the Thanks Berry Much Stamp Set. I also used the Thanks Berry Much Stamp Set to stamp the strawberry on my bow, the bow in Madison's hair, the bows on her shoulders, and her shoes.
I added a sweet bow tied with Frosting Seam Binding, a piece of Black Baker's Twine, and topped with the strawberry from the Thanks Berry Much Stamp Set. Paper piecing is easy and fun using Paper Sweeeties' fabulous stamp sets. The stamped sentiment (You're the Sweetest Berry in the Bunch) used on this card is also from the Thanks Berry Much Stamp Set. It is stamped onto a tag that I cut using the FABULOUS Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts. In the notch of my tag, I placed three layered Marshmallow Sequins. Don't you just LOVE all the lovely things found at Paper Sweeties?
OK....I used apples (on the patterned paper) on my second card. I laid all my patterned papers in place, added some stickers, a piece of chipboard (the apron), and then I stamped my sentiment (Keep Calm and Drink Coffee) from the awesome Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Stamp Set. Paper Sweeties has several cute coffee-themed sets.
I also stamped the coffee mug from the Tackle Life One Cup at a Time Stamp Set. I stamped it onto wood-grain paper to match the background, and to make it look like there is coffee in the cup. I always LOVE how all of Paper Sweeties products work together to compliment one another so nicely. Cute, cute, cute!
Here's the list of all my Paper Sweeties Team-mates who have prepared something to inspire you. I do hope you will stop by their blogs to leave them some love, and then be sure to stop by Paper Sweeties to browse the shop and play along with us. YOU could be the lucky winner of a $25 gift certificate, and have the chance to Guest Design for us at Paper Sweeties.
