Celebrate Spring at The Four Seasons Challenge

Hello, and welcome by.  It's the first of the month and time for a FUN new challenge over at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog where we're celebrating SPRING and Easter with a beautiful new inspiration photo.  You're allowed to share any of your newly created art in this challenge as long as it relates to the theme of Spring, Easter or anything inspired by this bright FUN inspiration photo.

My card was inspired by the pastel colors including the blue, pink and green.  I also wanted to incorporate the Easter eggs and the bright cheerful feeling I got from the inspiration photo.  I started with some basic cardsotck and attached some patterned papers that I machine stitched.  I took a small scrap of white cardstock and stamped a script background on it and added some paint splatter and inking to that. Next, I did some watercoloring on white paper (a pink and a blue) and I stamped the Easter eggs on those.

I used a brand new die from The Greetery to cut my carrots from orange cardstock.  The same die-cut set was used to cut the carrot greens.  I stamped the Paper Sweeties sentiment onto a border die that's also from Paper Sweeties.  The finishing touches to this card include some bundled Ivory Burlap String, a bow tied with Orange Seam Binding and a Pastel Blue Sweetheart Blossom.
