Wishing You a Happy Mother's Day w/Stamp Simply

When I think back over my childhood, I have many vivid memories of seeing my Mother pray for me.  I would see her, when she thought I was sleeping, as she knelt beside my bed late at night to pray for me.  I would see her tired hands folded in prayer as she prayed for me, for my brothers, and for those she loves.  These beautiful stamps from Stamp Simply helped me, as they always do, to create the perfect card to say Happy Mother's Day and to capture how very grateful I am today for my Mother's prayers.  And yes, I'm early with this card.  I do like to be prepared and work ahead.
I used basic white cardstock and patterned papers from The Craft Consortium's Bright Blossoms 6x6 Paper Pad.  I used the Pray Without Ceasing Stamp Set to stamp the praying hands and the Praying Hands Dies to cut them.  Underneath the hands, I cut a piece of vellum using one of the squares in the Praying Hands Dies and I stamped on it with the Happy Day Iris Stamp Set.  For the focal base, I stamped in pink ink using the Scripty Background Minis 1 Stamp Set.
I added some Pink Wrinkle Ribbon, a few Stamens, and a pretty Mulberry Flower.  You can find so much fabulous inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog and it will help you stay up-to-date on all the special sales and promotions taking place at Stamp Simply to help you save money on their fabulous products.  I'd love to hear your thoughts about my card.
Thanks for visiting me today.  I can never get enough of the amazing stamps, dies and products at Stamp Simply; and I know that you will LOVE them as much as I do.  Have a blessed and creative week, everyone.  I appreciate your stop at my blog today, sweet friend.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Let's Have Some Fun - Let me say first that I always have FUN making cards.  Even more importantly, I have FUN when I pray, and I have FUN when I'm with my Mom.  This card truly represents a whole lot of FUN things that I love.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Challenge #2403 - Anything Goes Sponsored by the adorable Penguin Palace.  I absolutely ADORE this sweet company, so my fingers (and toes) are crossed on this one.

Simon Says Stamp  Monday Challenge - Recycle - For this card, I used a piece of cardboard from a cereal box to fortify/strengthen the base.  I also save the pieces of protective cardboard packaging (when I receive an order from an online scrapbook/craft company) to use for this purpose and other crafting projects.  I also used a patterned paper scrap (the green polka dot) on my card.

Blessings,
Karen

  3. What a blessing to have a memory like that about your mother. We were just having a discussion with some grandchildren that we prayed for them before they were born just as we prayed for their mothers and in laws to come. [Bunny]
