He is risen! Praise God! No longer is Jesus hanging on the cross. No longer is He dead, in a tomb, or far from us. Just as He promised, and as was prophesied in the Old Testament, Jesus (God in human flesh) came to earth, suffered and died on the cross to pay the price for our sins, and He was raised up from the dead on the third day. He has gone to Heaven to prepare a place for you and for me and for ALL who will call upon His holy name. What a blessing to have a store like Stamp Simply to help us celebrate this truth and all of God's wonderful promises.
This Easter card started with purple and white cardstock. I used a Spellbinders Oval Die to cut out the center of the white cardstock. Underneath that, I filled in the space with a piece that I cut using the Sizzix Thinlits Simple Plaid Die. Next, I used the cross die found in the Easter is For Jesus Die Set, and I layered three of the crosses for depth and dimension.
The crosses were cut using paper from the Craft Consortium's Scorched Wood 6x6 Paper Pad. I wrapped a piece of purple ribbon around the cross. The sentiment I used is found in the Salvation Stamp Set. It was hand-cut and raised up with 3-D Foam Tabs. I also added several pretty purple flowers. Easter is just around the corner, and Stamp Simply has the perfect stamps, dies and products for this and every occasion.
