Autumn Blessings w/Stamp Simply

Each week at Stamp Simply, there's a fabulous SALE where different stamp sets are being featured.  This week, the Autumn Blessings Stamp Set and Welcome Fall Stamp Set are on sale, and several of the Stamp Simply Design Team Members have created cards and projects using this sweet set to inspire you.  You can find the card samples each day on the Stamp Simply Blog.  Here's what I came up with to inspire you today.

I used a basic white cardstock as my base and second layer.  That second white layer was pressure embossed using a (Chevron - Retired) Darice Embossing Folder.  By using any of the fabulous Embossing Folders available at Stamp Simply, you're able to add quick dimension to your cards.  I also did some machine stitching around the outer edge of the white embossed layer.

I gathered up several pattern paper scraps.  While there are many fabulous Paper Pads available at Stamp Simply, I used some older October Afternoon paper scraps.  I did a bit more machine stitching on the papers to tie in the brown accents.  The bundle of wheat and sentiment are found in the lovely Autumn Blessings Stamp Set which is on sale this week.  They were stamped onto white cardstock and cut with a Circle Die.  Some May Arts Burlap Stitched Ribbon and a bit of Jute were the finishing touches.

Hello Fall w/Stamp Simply

Hello, sweet friends.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit me today.  I'm sharing a sweet little folio that I created using several lovely products from Stamp Simply.  The extra good news is that many of the products I used on this project are ON SALE this week at Stamp Simply.  That's right.  You can SAVE on the Boho Fall Leaves Stamp Set, the Boho Pumpkins Stamp Set and the coordinating die-cuts from this lovely Autumn collection.  I just love the font of all the sweet sentiments found in these gorgeous sets.

For the base of this folio, I used a larger piece of scrap paper (8x10 I believe).  I scored it down the middle to create a center fold folio.  Then, you simply flip up the patterned paper to the inside creating the pockets.  I used some Carta Bella patterned papers (retired), but you could use any papers you may have on hand.  I also attached some pretty Ivory Lace on the border as well.  I colored the leaves, splattered them with paint, and I cut them using the Boho Fall Leaves Dies.

The lovely leaves with acorns and branch as well as the sentiments are found in the Boho Fall Leaves Stamp Set.  I cut the sentiment using a Fishtail Banner Die.  Isn't that font awesome?  This stamp set has so many great words that I decided to use them ALL to create the bookmark that's tucked inside.  I used various colors of ink to stamp all the words in this set and the Boho Pumpkins Stamp Set.

The metal tag and rusty safety pin are from Tim Holtz.  The bookmark is tied at the top with some burlap from the Burlap String Sampler.  Creating a folio is a quick and easy gift where you can tuck in some tags, bookmarks, a gift card or a hand-written note.  It's always easy and FUN when you create with Stamp Simply.  Don't forget to check out tis week's SALE on these wonderful items.  Thanks so much for visiting.

In Honor of Our Veterans w/Stamp Simply

It's really ALL because of our amazing Veterans and the sacrifices they've made for our country that we can, and should, celebrate the 4th of July as Independence Day.  I try my best to say, "thank you" when I see a Veteran (someone I'm certain has served).  This is something I do simply as a matter or respect.  Even if you're a person of few words, you can say, "thanks for your service".  As we celebrate our great country; we should never forget our Veterans.  Like I always say, at Stamp Simply Clear Stamps, there's a perfect stamp (die, etc.) for EVERY occasion, and Independence Day is no exception.

Yes, Stamp Simply has several different (all fabulous) Patriot Stamp Sets.  I think I've used most of them on this card. LOL  I'll try to list all the different stamp sets I used and where I used them, but the list may get long.  I used some Patterned Papers and a journalling card.  I do apologize that we're sold of this particular paper pad right now; but you can use any red and blue papers or any brand patriotic papers.  I did some machine stitching on each card.  I stamped the white background (behind the journalling card) using the Liberty Bell Stamp Set (gold bells), Red White & Blue Stamp Set (flag), The American Eagle Stamp Set (stars), Old Glory Stamp Set (words) and the Patriotic Sentiments Stamp Set is where you'll find the sentiment I used.  The sentiment strip was cut using the Fishtail Banner Dies.

I used the Patriotic Sentiments Stamp Set to stamp all the pretty stars that surround my sentiment and the journalling card.  I'm sorry to say that our star die-cuts (among others) were SO popular that they're all sold out already.  But don't worry!  They're not difficult to fussy cut with a good pair of scissors.  Stars are a great accent for many occasions.  This is a simple card that anyone can create.  Check out all the pretty Patterned Papers with journalling cards available at Stamp Simply Clear Stamps. Next, pick a coordinating stamp set (Baby, Christmas, Patriotic, etc,) and perhaps a coordinating die-cut or two.  Just grab these few simple things from Stamp Simply, and you're on your way to making wonderful cards.  Stamp Simply really does put the "SIMPLE" in card-making. There's always lots of great inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog to give you creative ideas and show you cool ways to use Stamp Simply products.

Get Well Soon Tulip w/Stamp Simply

So many times now, I've mentioned to you all that Stamp Simply carries the perfect sentiment, scripture or thought for any and every occasion.  This really is true.  I haven't yet encountered an occasion for which they didn't truly have the perfect words I'm trying to convey.  The stamp set I'm showcasing today is on SALE this week, so it's a great time to grab this lovely set for yourself.  This gorgeous Get Well Tulip Stamp Set will allow you to say Get Well, to Cheer You...., Tulip, Praying for your rapid recovery and more.  Just look at how easy it was to use this one stamp set to decorate this inside and outside of my card.

I used white cardstock along with some pretty patterned papers from the Bloom & Wild 6x6 Paper Pad and the Bright Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad from Craft Consortium.  The wood grain paper is found in the Craft Consortium's cool Scorched Wood 6x6 Paper Pad.  I machine stitched some of the papers on the card front.  I stamped the pretty tulip found in the Get Well Tulip Stamp Set and cut it using the coordinating Get Well Tulip Dies.  I did place a small doily under the tulip that isn't from Stamp Simply.  You can use any small doily or any Shaped Die.

The musical swirls are found in God Will Take Care of You Stamp Set, and the other swirls are found in the Vintage Peony Stamp Set.  The horizontal sentiment stamped on the inside of this card is also found in the Get Well Tulip Stamp Set.  This wonderful set has so many different sentiments and phrases to make it go further in its usefulness.  I ran a length of Pink Seam Binding underneath the front and back panels of my card creating a bow closure.  Below is the inside view.  I tied it shut so that it would lay flat for my photo.

Saying I'm Sorry w/Stamp Simply

There are times in our lives when we will disappoint, and possibly even hurt, others.  Sometimes we know quite well what we've done to offend someone.  There are other times when we don't quite know just what we've done to upset of offend someone.  Their feelings, like our own, are nonetheless important.  Taking the opportunity to say, "I'm sorry" isn't always easy; but it's always worthwhile.  Whether or not the person forgives you, at least you've done what you can to try to rectify the problem and let the other person know that you care enough to say the words.  It's always good to make the attempt to restore fellowship when it's been broken.  By sending the words in a card, you're avoiding any further confrontation and putting the matter to rest.  From there, it's all in God's hands.

As always, Stamp Simply has the perfect stamps for this (and every) occasion.  The stamp set I used for this card has several wonderful sentiments to let others know how you feel about them.  With this one stamp set, you can say sorry, thinking of you, happy birthday, I love you, thank you, just because...just about everything.  This is the wonderful Floral Cluster Spring Pansies Stamp Set.  You get all these awesome sentiments along with these gorgeous flowers.

I used a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder on the white background for added texture.  I stamped the two sentiments which are, as I mentioned, found in the Floral Cluster Spring Pansies Stamp Set.   Each sentiment was cut using a different size Fishtail Banner Die.  I inked the edges of each sentiment strip and raised them a bit with 3-D Foam Adhesive Tabs.  I used the coordinating Floral Cluster Dies & Sprigs to cut the floral and to add the extra foliage.  Some sequins and iridescent string were the finishing touches.

Remembering The Edmund Fitzgerald

Even though it's been over 50 years since the Edmund Fitzgerald sank during a horrific storm in the Great Lakes, it's still a very clear memory for me.  This is a piece that my brother asked me to create for him.  He wanted to have a small framed remembrance of the great freighter we remember so fondly.  Our Uncle Billy sailed on these great freighters for many years, and we were able to go aboard to see his living quarters, the mess hall, etc.  We praise God that Uncle Billy wasn't working on the Fitzgerald that year as he had been in years past.  Stamp Simply has captured this magnificent ship so beautifully.

For my project today, I created a framed piece of art for my brother.  My entire family loves the "Great White North", the Great Lakes (Lake Superior in particular), The Soo Locks (Sault Ste. Marie, MI), the Great Freighters (the Edmund Fitzgerald in particular), Gordon Lightfoot, and all things pertaining to the blessed life we've lived surrounding and involving the Great Lakes.  It's part of who we are.  I had picked up some very inexpensive little wood frames at Goodwill recently with the purpose of upcycling them in mind.  This is one of those frames.

I used a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock that I cut to fit into the frame.  I painted it and stamped it using the Mackinac Bridge Stamp Set.  I colored it and cut it using the Mackinac Bridge Dies.  I used the Edmund Fitzgerald Great Lakes Freighter Stamp Set for the great freighter, I painted it with oxide ink, and then I cut it using the Edmund Fitzgerald Great Lakes Freighter Dies.

I also used the (birds and ship's wheel) He Stilled the Storm Stamp Set and coordinating Dies as well as the He is the Light Stamps & Dies for the wooden posts.  Each stamp set from Stamp Simply works well on its own or when combined with others.  Thanks so much for visiting me here today.  It's a blessing to me each and every time you stop by to take a peek at my art and say hello.  I love hearing your thoughts on my art, and I truly hope that you'll come play along with us this month.  Stay creative, be happy and always know that I'm grateful for you.

Congratulations w/Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Whatever the occasion may be, and almost without exception, it's such a treat knowing that we can always count on Stamp Simply Clear Stamps to carry the perfect stamped sentiment, scripture, words of encouragement, etc.  From every event from the birth of a new baby to a sympathy card....and all of life's amazing adventures in between; Stamp Simply always has the perfect products.

This card starts with basic white cardstock.  The next layer (blue pattern paper) is from the Craft Consortium's Bloom & Wild 6x6 Paper Pad that I embossed using the Darice Dainty Flower Embossing Folder.  I attached different patterned paper scraps including pieces from the Bloom & Wild (floral) 6x6 Paper Pad and the Bright Blooms (polka dot) 6x6 Paper Pad by Craft Consortium.  I did a bit of machine stitching on the paper scraps.  I also added some May Arts White 3/8" Crochet Lace to my card.

The image was stamped using the Man of Knowledge Stamp Set and was painted with oxide inks, colored with Copics, and cut with the coordinating Man of Knowledge Dies.  I chose to use pastels this time to color these lovely books because I'm sending this card to a female.  The sentiment is also found in the Man of Knowledge Stamp Set.  The image of the books as well as the sentiment were pressure embossed using a Linen Embossing Folder.  The sentiment was cut using a Fishtail Banner Die.

Sympathy Card & Bookmark w/Stamp Simply

No matter what the occasion, you'll always find the best selection of sentiment stamps, images, die-cuts and coordinating products at Stamp Simply Clear Stamps to help you make a lovely card to celebrate.  I always enjoy using the lovely sentiment stamps and products from Stamp Simply to create my cards, and when possible, a matching bookmark is always a nice addition to tuck inside.  Stamp Simply always makes it easy and fun to create and express just the right words you need to convey.  This card is sort of a sympathy card to encourage one of my (extended/in-law) family members following the recent passing of my dear Mother-in-Law.  You can't tell from the photos - because I couldn't figure out how to photograph it, but it's a tri-fold card.  It has a cool opening, but it was really difficult to photograph.

I saw this simple fold on an Instagram post and decided to give it a try.  Once I had my card folded, I covered each panel with some pretty paper from the Craft Consortium found in their Rose Ink Drops 6x6 Paper Pad.  This created three panels....one small panel on the outside (left), one larger panel on the inside (right) and a third small panel on inside (left).  On the front of my card, I cut several circles using the Spellbinder Circle Dies (similar) that I stamped with the Spring Pansies Floral Cluster Stamp in gold and pink inks and then with the sentiment found in the Sympathy Sentiments 2 Stamp Set.  I also added some Pink Seam Binding to the front and inside of my card.

On the inside of my card on the inner panel, I attached a small glassine bag that I decorated with more of the Rose Ink Drops 6x6 Paper Pad along with some May Arts White Lace.  I used more of the white cardstock, the same pattern papers, another sentiment from the Sympathy Sentiments 2 Stamp Set and some trims to create the bookmark that I tucked into that inside glassine bag.  I also added another small sentiment to the inside (right side and center) of my card just to tie everything together nicely and complete my card.  Stamp Simply has the best selection of products to help us create simple and sweet cards and projects.

Patriotic Blooms

It's time for another FUN challenge over at The Card Concept and we'd really LOVE to have you come by and play along with us.  Challenges are always the most fun when everyone joins in and shares their creations, so we all hope to see YOU share your art with us this month.  When I saw the beautiful Patriotic Blooms inspiration photo (below), I knew this would be a lot of fun.  I also knew that Stamp Simply had the PERFECT stamps and dies to help me create the look I was envisioning.  How can you go wrong when combining our great country's beautiful colors with beautiful florals and products from Stamp Simply?  It's a win-win-win for everyone, and I'm excited to see what you'll create to share with us.  Stamp Simply will afford you several fabulous Patriot Stamp and Die options; among every other category you can imagine.  Stamp Simply has so many wonderful products.

For my card, I used a base of black cardstock layered with white cardstock that I stamped using the Vintage Seed Packet Background Stamp.  I cut the center of this using the coordinating Ovals & Twigs Dies.  This allows the cute pattern paper from The Craft Consortium Beach Hut 6x6 Paper Pad to peek through the opening.  A bit of machine stitching around the edge and a few sequins were the finishing touches.

The floral image is the Floral Summer Roses Cluster and was cut using the coordinating Floral Cluster Die which fits all four of the beautiful Floral Cluster Stamp Sets (it's interchangeable).  I colored my image using Copics and I hated it, so I stamped the flowers a second time and hand-painted them with Oxide Inks to match the colors found in the inspiration photo.  They're raised up with 3-D Foam Tabs.  The star is found in The American Eagle Stamp Set, it was colored and then cut using the American Eagle Dies.  I also added a small piece of May Arts 3/8" White Crochet Lace.

The small word PEACE that I stamped at the bottom right of my card is also found in the The American Eagle Stamp Set along with several cool patriotic sentiments.  Each stamp set from Stamp Simply has several lovely sentiments to help you say just what you're wanting to express.  I really hope that you'll stop by Stamp Simply to grab a few new things and then stop by The Card Concept to play along with us.

Congratulations w/Stamp Simply

Some cards are just plain old FUN to make, and this was one of those cards.  I've been thinking about this particular stamp set for a few days now, so I finally decided to get it out and create something with it.  I love the texture of the books, the colors of the books, and how all the stamped images and sentiments in this awesome stamp and die set work together.  This card is a perfect example of how combining Stamp Simply stamps and dies with some of the other products available at Stamp Simply such as Embossing Folders, Lace or Silk Ribbon, it's always a great combination and all these products complement one another so well.

For this Congratulations Card, I used black and white cardstock and then a piece of patterned paper from the Beach Hut 6x6 Paper Pad by Craft Consortium to create my base.  On top of the patterned paper, I laid some pretty May Arts White Lace and two colors of 1/8" Silk Ribbon.  The books image and sentiment are found in the A Man of Knowledge Stamp Set and I cut the books and keys using the Man of Knowledge Dies.  After I had stamped the books, I used Tim Holtz Embossing Folder to add some textures to the books.  The books were hand painted with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.

The sentiment, as I mentioned is also found in the A Man of Knowledge Stamp Set and I cut the sentiment using a Fishtail Banner Die.  I cut the keys and hung them around the sentiment banner.  I also raised up the images and sentiment banner using some 3-D Foam Tabs.

Easter Joy w/Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Welcome by my blog today, sweet creative friends.  I'm always happy and grateful to have you visit me, to hear your thoughts and comments, and just to know that you're here.  I also equally enjoy seeing all of your creative artwork, and I hope you know how much you all inspire me.  Today I'm sharing a sweet and easy little card and bookmark duo creating using the Stamps of the Week from Stamp Simply.  These products are all on sale this week, and they are amazing.

This card started with black, pink and natural white cardstocks that I layered together.  The top (pretty) layer was cut using the beautiful Craft Consortium Ink Drops - Rose 6x6 Paper Pad.  I cut the piece of patterned paper into strips and placed them strategically onto the natural white cardstock, leaving small gaps of white in between.  The beautiful pattern in the paper remains fluid and continuous even though there are spaces in between each section.  The Craft Consortium Collection has several lovely colors of this gorgeous paper, and they're all available at Stamp Simply.

The sentiment and image I stamped on the front of my card are both found in the (one sale) Salvation Stamp Set.  I also made a matching bookmark that uses all the same papers.  The sentiment on the bookmark can be found in the (also on sale) Good News Stamp Set.  I stamped the bookmark sentiment with Graphite Black Ink and cut it using the Fishtail Banner Dies.  I love the beveled edges these gorgeous Banner Dies leave.  The many wonderful stamp sets available at Stamp Simply make it easy to create beautiful cards, matching bookmarks and more.

Welcome by my blog today, and thanks so much for stopping by as I share another sweet little Easter card that I created using a few of my favorite products from Stamp Simply.  It's such a blessing to know that I can always find the perfect sentiments for any and every occasion at Stamp Simply.  I've been having fun creating with their amazing Easter Themed Products, and I hope you enjoy the card I'm sharing with you today.

The sweet Vintage Seed Packet Background Stamp is absolutely beautiful, and it makes for such a quick and easy background.  It can be used pretty much year-round by coordinating it with various sentiment and images.  I used some super vintage patterned papers from my stash.  They're from an older Crate Paper line called Oh Darling.  However, you can find so many beautiful Paper Pads in the Stamp Simply Shop.  The Echo Park Spring 6x6 Paper Pad would be another great choice for recreating this card.  I used the coordinating Ovals & Twigs Dies to cut out the center of the frame where you'll see the musical patterned paper peeking through the opening.

The beautiful daffodils on my card were stamped using the lovely He Lives Stamp Set.  I used some Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to hand paint the flowers and then I cut them using the coordinating Daffodils Die.  Did you know that Stamp Simply has several different floral stamps available?  And they're all just as lovely as these daffodils.  The sentiment I used (Happy Easter) is stamped in Graphite Black Ink again using the He Lives Stamp Set, and I cut it using the Fishtail Banner Dies.  I splattered the card with watered down oxide inks and gold paint.

He Is Risen w/Stamp Simply

One of the things that I love most about Stamp Simply Clear Stamps is the fact that no matter what type of card I need to make, I know that I can always count on them to have a stamp set with the most absolutely PERFECT sentiment.  This is such a blessing because sometimes it's hard to find just the right words, but Stamp Simply will have exactly what I'm trying to say - and in the most beautiful stamp sets that help me create lovely cards.  Knowing that I can lift the spirits of others and be an encouragement to them by sending a Stamp Simply hand-made card is such a joy.  It's also so nice knowing that I can find pretty much every scripture stamp I could possibly want; and that's so nice to have access to as well.  I love to stamp an encouraging scripture on the inside of my cards, and again, Stamp Simply always has just what I need.  This card was very much inspired by a similar card made last year by my talented Design Teammate, Esther Asbury.

This card started with cardstocks (black and natural white) that I layered together.  I used an additional piece of the natural white cardstock to stamp the bunny and eggs using the Easter is for Jesus Stamp Set.  I stamped the bunny a second time and cut it out using the coordinating Easter is for Jesus Dies, and I placed it as the focal point using 3-D Foam Tabs.

The top layer (so pretty, right?) was stamped onto a piece of Carta Bella patterned paper using the gorgeous Vintage Seed Packet Background Stamp in Graphite Black Ink.  The center of the stamp was cut using the coordinating Vintage Ovals & Twigs Dies.  This is one stamp set that I highly recommend.  It's so versatile, and it makes the sweetest background for any card.  The sentiments
