Patriotic Blooms

It's time for another FUN challenge over at The Card Concept and we'd really LOVE to have you come by and play along with us.  Challenges are always the most fun when everyone joins in and shares their creations, so we all hope to see YOU share your art with us this month.  When I saw the beautiful Patriotic Blooms inspiration photo (below), I knew this would be a lot of fun.  I also knew that Stamp Simply had the PERFECT stamps and dies to help me create the look I was envisioning.  How can you go wrong when combining our great country's beautiful colors with beautiful florals and products from Stamp Simply?  It's a win-win-win for everyone, and I'm excited to see what you'll create to share with us.  Stamp Simply will afford you several fabulous Patriot Stamp and Die options; among every other category you can imagine.  Stamp Simply has so many wonderful products.
For my card, I used a base of black cardstock layered with white cardstock that I stamped using the Vintage Seed Packet Background Stamp.  I cut the center of this using the coordinating Ovals & Twigs Dies.  This allows the cute pattern paper from The Craft Consortium Beach Hut 6x6 Paper Pad to peek through the opening.  A bit of machine stitching around the edge and a few sequins were the finishing touches.
The floral image is the Floral Summer Roses Cluster and was cut using the coordinating Floral Cluster Die which fits all four of the beautiful Floral Cluster Stamp Sets (it's interchangeable).  I colored my image using Copics and I hated it, so I stamped the flowers a second time and hand-painted them with Oxide Inks to match the colors found in the inspiration photo.  They're raised up with 3-D Foam Tabs.  The star is found in The American Eagle Stamp Set, it was colored and then cut using the American Eagle Dies.  I also added a small piece of May Arts 3/8" White Crochet Lace.
The small word PEACE that I stamped at the bottom right of my card is also found in the The American Eagle Stamp Set along with several cool patriotic sentiments.  Each stamp set from Stamp Simply has several lovely sentiments to help you say just what you're wanting to express.  I really hope that you'll stop by Stamp Simply to grab a few new things and then stop by The Card Concept to play along with us.
Please don't hesitate.  Just come on over to The Card Concept and share your patriotic cards with us this month.  Remember, it doesn't have to be anything literal from the inspiration photo.  It can be anything that sparks your creativity, and we're excited to see what that might be.  Stamp Simply Clear Stamps is the best place to shop for Patriotic Stamp Sets to help you get started.  I greatly appreciate your visit here today.  Have a great week.

Let Freedom Ring w/Stamp Simply

I praise God for allowing me to be born in what I truly believe is the greatest country in the world - The United States of America.  I also praise God for the many men and women who have, over the course of history, sacrificed their lives for the freedoms and privileges we have and enjoy every day in America.  Additionally, I'm grateful for Stamp Simply and its Owner, Sharon, for creating Stamp Simply which is a stamp store that is founded on Christian principles and carries many Christian and Patriotic products to celebrate this great country and the One who created and blesses it - Jesus Christ, God in human flesh.
For this fun Patriotic card, I used a white cardstock base layered with red gingham and blue gingham patterned papers from JilliBean Soup that I pieced together and stamped with the lovely Vintage Seed Packet Background Stamp.  I stamped it in Versafine Black Onyx Ink.  I also used the coordinating Vintage Ovals & Twigs Dies to cut out the center portion of the card.  I didn't quite make a shaker card, but I did add a few star-shaped sequins.
I used the beautiful Red, White & Blue Stamp Set to stamp the American flag and the sentiment (Let Freedom Ring).  I used the coordinating Red, White & Blue Flag Dies to cut the flag, and I colored it with my Copic markers.  I added some Red Baker's Twine and Blue Baker's Twine to the sides of my card for additional texture and color.  The flag was raised up a bit using some 3-D Foam Tabs to give it a bit of dimension.  A piece of Royal Blue Gingham Ribbon attached with a Tim Holtz rusty paper clip was the finishing touch.
If there's anything I forgot to mention, I'm happy to answer any questions you might have; but for the most part, everything I used on this card can be found at Stamp Simply.  Be sure to stop by the Stamp Simply Blog each day for lots of great inspiration, too.  Thanks so much for your visit today, and please stop by again soon.  I'm always super grateful for your visits, comments and encouragement.  Stamp Simply really is an AWESOME store, and we're here to help you with any questions you have because we LOVE stamping, we love the Lord Jesus, and we LOVE America.  Have a blessed and creative week.

Blessings,
Karen

American Pride w/Stamp Simply

I don't know about you, but I'm sure proud to be an American.  So many brave men and women have fought, and even died, to secure the rights and freedoms we enjoy today.  We can't ever take for granted the high price that was paid for all those rights and freedoms; and it's also important to thank our Veterans and to thank God for how He has blessed our great country.  At Stamp Simply, there are so many great patriotic stamps and dies to help you create cards and projects that will let people know how much you love the United States of America.
I used kraft cardstock and some patterned papers from the Carta Bella Fourth of July 6x6 Paper Pad.  Once I secured all my patterned papers, I attached a length of .5" Katrina Venice Ivory Lace to my card.  I stamped two of the stars from the American Eagle Stamp Set and cut them with the coordinating American Eagle Dies.  The sentiment I used is found in the Red, White and Blue Stamp Set.  It's stamped onto a banner from the Fishtail Banner Dies.
I cut two more (smaller) stars using the Old Glory Stars & Stripes Dies and stamped on them with the star from the American Eagle Stamp Set.  All the stamps and dies at Stamp Simply complement one another so nicely and also work well on their own.  If you have any questions about anything I used on my card, please feel free to ask.  You really will LOVE Stamp Simply and their awesome products.
Be sure to stop by the Stamp Simply Blog for lots of great inspiration and information about special sales and promotions.  In fact, there's a BIG SALE taking place now.  You won't want to miss out the fabulous savings.  We always enjoy having you stop by to see what's new.  Have a great week, everyone.

May Your Cup Overflow w/Stamp Simply

Hello, friends and welcome back by my blog today as I share a fun card that infuses several fun, versatile and awesome stamps and dies from Stamp Simply.  All their stamps and dies work beautifully on their own or when combined with others.  Let's just say that they perfectly complement one another.  This card uses several different Stamp Simply sets.  Most everything is stamped using the Versafine Black Onyx Ink.
I used red cardstock and then white watercolor paper that I painted with red oxide ink.  I cut two coffee mugs, handles and steam using the Cup of Java Stamp Set and cut all those pieces with the coordinating Dies.  I cut pieces to fit the coffee cups, and my card, using cut pieces of the United States of America image/shape from the Old Glory Stamp Set & Dies as well as pieces of stars from the American Eagle Stamp Set & Dies.  It's fun to use stamped images and cut them down to fit inside other stamped images.
I did a bit of painting with red and blue oxide inks on the coffee cups.  The sentiment I used can be found in the Have a Cup On Us Stamp Set.  This fun card is actually very simple to make.  Using stamps and dies from Stamp Simply makes it so easy and fun to create lovely cards.  Why not treat yourself to a new stamp set or two and start enjoying these wonderful products.  You're sure to love them as much as I do.
Thanks again for stopping by to visit me today, everyone.  I'm always so grateful for your visits and I also appreciate your comments.  It's nice knowing what you think, what challenges you're enjoying this week, and what's new.  I appreciate you very much and wish you a blessed week.  And don't forget, there's always lots of FAB inspiration waiting for you on the Stamp Simply Blog.

Here's where I'm sharing my card:

Happy crafting everyone,
Karen
