Christmas in July is always such FUN! I'm continuing to play along over at the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers' Christmas in July Linky Party, and it would be fabulous if you would come by and join in on all the excitement. I don't have a whole lot of Christmas cards made, but this special event has me busy getting a head start on all the Christmas cards I still need to make this year.I started with kraft and red cardstock for my base. I used a complete mish mash of old patterned paper scraps and bits to create this card. I layered on papers, corrugated cardboard scraps, vintage scotch tape, machine stitching, chipboard ephemera, a Maya Road kraft ticket, etc. It's truly a bit of this and a bit of that from my Christmas bins.I used an old (retired) stamp set called Bold Scripty Christmas Sentiments from Simon Says Stamp. I still love this old stamp set and the pretty font of these sentiments. The little chipboard pieces are from Carta Bella, I believe. I sorta crumpled up the kraft patterned paper to wrinkle/scrunch it before machine stitching it to my card base.Be sure to check out the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers' Christmas in July Linky Party. I know that Crystal and her talented Design Team would love to see your holiday cards; so come, join the fun. I look forward to seeing you out there in blogland and the social media world where I can view your cards as well. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I appreciate you.
I'm sharing my cad here:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Simon Says "Stitch It" and I machine stitched quite a bit on this card.
Blessings,
Karen
