Land That I Love w/Stamp Simply

I am a proud American who is grateful to God for every blessing in my life....big and small.  This card, using several FUN products from Stamp Simply, speaks to that fact.  It shows my patriotic side and gratefulness for our country, AND it shows my love and appreciation for the "small" things like coffee or tea.  Stamp Simply has SO many great stamps, dies, paper and more that will help you create cards of every kind, and all their products work well on their own or when combined with others as this card does.
I started with kraft cardstock and layered it with patterned papers and a journalling card from the Echo Park Let Freedom Ring 6x6 Paper Pad with some machine stitching.  Next, I used the American Eagle Stamp Set for the stars which I colored with Copics and cut with the coordinating American Eagle Dies.  I used the Coffee or Tea Stamp Set for the words "Tea Time" on the little tag.  The little tag and the teacup/handle are found in the Coffee or Tea Dies.
I used the Old Glory Stamp Set for the little USA stamp on the tea cup.  I also used the American Eagle Stamp Set again to stamp over the base of the tea cup, the handle, etc. to add pieces of the star, as well as for the sentiment at the top of my card.  I ran some 1/4" Red Chevron Twill across the teacup, and I used a length of Red Baker's Twine on the tiny tag.
You'll always find lots of great inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog, and lots of great shopping in the Stamp Simply Store.  There are also lots of great sales and promotions that you'll learn about on the Stamp Simply Blog.  Thanks so much for your visit today.  I'm always super grateful for your visits, comments and friendships.

I'm sharing my card here:

Color Throwdown Challenge - Challenge #795 - I just love this beautiful patriotic inspiration photo, so this is what I designed to share in this fun challenge.
TIME OUT Challenge Blog - Challenge #264 - Magical - I've thought of fireworks as being MAGICAL.  Ever since I was a small child going to the 4th of July Fireworks Show in my hometown, I've always been mesmerized by the beautiful explosions of color, and I've thought of it as being very magical.
Get your magical craft on this week, friends.

Stamp Simply Sponsoring at Word Art Wednesday

It's time for another fun challenge over at Word Art Wednesday.  I sure hope you'll come join the fun and enter ALL your art over the next two weeks for your chance to WIN an amazing $25 credit to Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  Because they are our sponsor for this challenge, and quite honestly because I still do not have a printer and cannot print the WAW scriptures, I'm sharing this Patriotic card with you today to celebrate a true HERO in my life.  Oh and by the way, don't forget to check out ALL the fabulous New Release products at Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

We all know of someone who has served our beautiful country in the military.  Some of us know several of these American heroes.  For me, there are many; but my #1 American hero is my Dad, a Retired Colonel from the United States Air Force.  Growing up as an "Air Force Brat" was interesting.  It was always super cool walking around base with Dad and watching (for the most part) EVERYONE have to salute him.  And at the age of 90, he's still teaching Civil Air Patrol and he's still flying.
Stamp Simply Clear Stamps has so many great stamps and dies to help you create Patriotic cards to celebrate these American heroes.  This card uses black and red cardstock layered with white cardstock that I pressure embossed using the Tim Holtz Tree Rings Embossing Folder.  I "made" my own star stencil by cutting the holes with the stars found in the Old Glory Dies.
I used the Old Glory Stamp Set for the United States image, and I cut it using the coordinating Old Glory Dies.  The sentiment is found in the Red, White & Blue Stamp Set.  It was stamped onto white cardstock that was also pressure embossed and cut with the Fishtail Banner Dies.  I added ribbons including 1.5" Blue Gingham Ribbon and some Red Chevron Twill.
The patterned papers I used are found in the Echo Park Freedom Ring 6x6 Paper Pad.  There are SO many great Patriotic products available at Stamp Simply.  Be sure to POP on over to Word Art Wednesday to link up your art with us for your chance to WIN.  Once again, thanks so much for your visit here today and have a wonderful week, my blogging friends.

I'll be sharing my card in the following challenges:

Can You Handle the Pressure - May Challenge - Anything Goes (with pressure embossing) with Optional Flowers Twist.  I didn't use the twist (obviously..lol), but I did use a Tim Holtz Wood Rings embossing folder.

Blessings,
Karen

Getting Patriotic with Stamp Simply Clear Stamps

Welcome back to my blog, everyone, and thanks for stopping by again.  It's always a treat to have you stop by to see what I've been creating.  Today I'm sharing a fun patriotic card that I created for Stamp Simply Clear Stamps using some of their wonderful products.  Stamp Simply carries so many great Patriotic Stamp Sets among many other themes.
This card started with basic black cardstock.  I layered a piece of patriotic patterned paper from a darling Echo Park Let Freedom Ring 6x6 Paper Pad.  I used some Brick and Denim Oxide Inks to create my background. The stamped sentiment (Stars & Stripes Forever) is found in the Patriotic Sentiments Stamp Set.
The pretty Katrina Lace is laid across my card is just one of many Laces you can find at Stamp Simply.  The stars were stamped using the Stamp Set and were die-cut using the coordinating Patriotic Stars & Stripes Die Cuts.  I placed some 3-D Foam Tape on the back of each star to make them stand out because they go along with the sentiment.
There are so many AWESOME stamps, dies and products at Stamp Simply.  You're sure to find the perfect sentiment or images to help you create something lovely.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I do hope you'll take the time to visit Stamp Simply Clear Stamps to look around.  Have a blessed and creative week.
