It's Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop Time

Hurray!  It's that exciting time of the month again for the FUN Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop and we're SO glad you've chosen to hop along with us.  This is very quick blog hop with just six (6) stops in total.  AND....one lucky participant who leaves a comment at each stop will WIN this month's beautiful Christmas Ribbon Club Assortment.  Just look at these beautiful trims.
This month, I decided to make a card instead of a hair bow (as I normally always do).  This card is styled much like those of one by my talented teammates, Gloria.  When I saw her card showcasing the ribbons in the Ribbon Club Assortment so beautifully, I knew that I wanted to use her layout idea.  I just love how easy it makes card-making and it shows off the gorgeous trims in the Ribbon Club Assortment.
I used a piece of basic black cardstock and I pressure embossed it using a lattice embossing folder.  Then, I cut strips of the different ribbons from the Ribbon Club Assortment and laid them across my card.  I ran a strip of Scor-Tape down the left-hand and right-hand back sides of the card so that the strips of ribbon would stay securely in place.  That fun ribbon background came together quickly and easily creating a gorgeous design.
Next, I used more of the Red Bold Check Plaid Ribbon to tie a double bow.  I also added some bundled Olive Burlap String and some Double Head Stamens as well as a Mulberry Leaf. I also added a die-cut felt holly and ivy that I topped with Red, Green and Ivory Open Roses.  The sentiment is from a Stamp Simply Clear Stamps set called Farmhouse Christmas.  I really wanted the star of this card to be the Ribbon Club Assortment.  These trims are SO pretty.
Your next and final stop on this Blog Hop is back at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you'll need to comment by answering the final question.  This, along with your comments along the way, will enter you to WIN this month's Ribbon Club Assortment.  How cool is that?  Really Reasonable Ribbon is amazing, and we hope you'll think of RRR next time you need ribbons of ANY kind.  They're sure to have what you need....plus a whole lot more.  Happy crafting.

It's Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop Time

Welcome to the RRR Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from Bonnie's Blog; but if not, you can catch up quickly as this is a short/quick Blog Hop.  I'm so glad you're here; and you will be too because YOU could be the lucky WINNER of this month's Blog Hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We're showcasing the July Ribbon Club Assortment (shown below) and one lucky commenter will WIN this gorgeous assortment.  There are only six (6) stops on this hop, so it won't take you long at all.  Just leave a comment on each blog, get some fabulous inspiration, and you just might win this lovely assortment of ribbons.
Most months I like to share a hair bow that showcases all, or at least most, of the trims included in each month's Ribbon Club Assortment.  Because I am SO IN LOVE with this month's colors and ribbons, I couldn't resist sharing a hair bow AND a card.  I used black cardstock for my base.  A piece of simple white watercolor paper that I inked with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks created the background.  The ribbons are the real beauties here.
The sentiment was stamped over the inked background using a Stamp Simply scripture sentiment.  Because this card will be hand delivered, I was able to create a super cute matching envelope for this card.  It always makes card-giving more fun when you hand someone a card with a darling envelope that matches the card inside.  A small snippet of the Ribbon that was left over from the card made the perfect accent.  Never waste those ribbon or paper scraps.  Right?
In addition to the ribbons from the Ribbon Club Assortment, I also added some bundled Pink Burlap String, a Mulberry Leaf, some Miniature Double Head Stamens, and a beautiful (purple) Pastel Magnolia Flower.  There's absolutely no end to the things you can create with RIBBONS and trims.  And so, I'm sharing this pretty hair bow with y'all as well.
This bow includes a length of each trim found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment, it has a pretty Embellishment in the center, and it's secured on the back side with an Alligator Clip.   Aren't the colors and prints in this month's Assortment just SO beautiful?  I'm so in love with this month's Ribbon Club Assortment, and I hope you'll grab yourself a set before they're sold out.  I don't anticipate this collection lasting long.  It's just SO beautiful.
Your final stop on this Blog Hop is at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog where you will answer the final question so that you'll be entered to win the prize.  Don't forget the comments along the way as well.  They mean so much to each of us.  We do hope our creations inspire you to get some ribbon and get creative.

I'm sharing my CARD (above) in the following:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Make Your Own Background" - I used Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to create the background on my card.

I made this quick card using a stamp set from Paper Smooches.  I painted the white background with Lemonade Oxide Ink and stamped the toucan and sentiment.  I added a length of two different ribbons from the Ribbon Club Assortment.  I tied a piece of Solid Turquoise Baker's Twine around a scrap of the ribbon and tied a bow with it.  I topped that with a Coral Open RoseThe Ribbon Club Assortment has SO much ribbon in it that you're able to make cards, tags, a hair bow, etc. and still have ribbons left on your table.  It's a LOT of GORGEOUS ribbon at a great price.

September RRR Blog Hop Time

It's time for the wonderful Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop, and this month's SPOOKY FUN Ribbon Club Assortment will delight you.  This Blog Hop will take you on five (5) stops in total.  You should have arrived here by way of Bonnie's Blog; but if not, you can get caught up quickly.  Each of the five stops will inspire you by showing you a wide variety of projects using this month's adorably spooky Halloween themed Ribbon Club Assortment.
The first project I'm sharing for this blog hop is a small plastic candy/treat box that's filled with gumballs.  I tied a length of the 5/8" Black Delicate Stitch Satin Ribbon around the treat box and topped that with a length of Orange Plaid Ribbon With Black Stitching.  I also added some bundled Parrot Green Burlap String and Black Burlap String on my treat box.  I attached a cute little wooden hand-painted cat on the front using a small piece of Scor-Tape to secure it.
I made a bow for the top of this gumball treat box, but you can't see it very well.  It includes a few trims from this month's Ribbon Club Assortment including a piece of the 5/8" Black Delicate Stitch Satin Ribbon which is layered underneath the Orange Plaid Ribbon With Black Stitching.  There's also a piece of the adorable 3/8" Green Checkerboard Satin Ribbon, 5/8" Tangerine Taffeta Ribbon and  3/8" Cat & Ghost Print on Black Grosgrain Ribbon on top of the treat box.
On the very top, I attached a small (fake) bag of candy corns; which is a Jolee's piece.  It's just a FUN little candy treat for gift-giving to all the little ghouls and goblins who will come knocking on our doors in a few short weeks.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has ALL the perfect ribbons, trims and products to help you create something SPOOK-tacular.
I have one more quick little project to share with you today before you run off to your last stop.  This CUTE little pumpkin was created with just ONE trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon - their Natural JUTE.  This was created by taking one small length of the Jute and knotting it into one small circle.  Next, you wrap more of the Jute loosely around the tied piece until the pumpkin is your desired size and thickness.  I used a small twig for the "pumpkin stem".  You can make various sizes of these pumpkins based on how big you make your original tied circle of Jute.
Your next stop on this brief Blog Hop is back at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.   Be sure to leave a comment on each blog along the way, and then answer the question back on the RRR Blog so that you'll be entered into the random drawing for this month's awesome Ribbon Club Assortment.  Thanks so much for joining us, and remember Really Reasonable Ribbon for all your ribbon needs.  Good luck in the random draw, everyone.

Blessings,
Karen
