Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

 ♯♪Do you remember the beautiful hymn.....Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, Look Full in His Wonderful Grace, and the things of life will grow strangely dim...in the light of His glory and grace.  These beautiful lyrics are captured in a lovely stamp set from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  I used this wonderful stamp set, and only this one stamp set, to create this simple card.  I'm using it as a Sympathy card, and I stamped the inside with another Sympathy Sentiment from Stamp Simply (inside not shown).

I used a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock, and I rubbed it with various colors of Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.  I splattered the wet ink with water and paint, then I let it dry.  I used the wonderful and beautiful Worship & Praise Stamp Set for the little notes, treble cleft symbol, and musical swirl images as well as for the lovely sentiments.  I used Graphite Black Ink to stamp everything.  Yes, just one stamp set.  The Worship & Praise Stamp Set is SO beautiful, and it can be used for a variety of occasions.

The card base is basic black and basic white cardstock.  The Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock is a thicker cardstock, and it absorbs the Oxide Inks so nicely.  These wonderful panels are pre-cut for the perfect sized card.  Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this Distress Cardstock is amazing, and it will help you create amazing backgrounds.  This card is SO simple that anyone can create it.  All the stamps from Stamp Simply are awesome and will help you easily create lovely cards.

Christmas Blessings w/Stamp Simply

Although Christmas usually makes us think of using primarily red and green on our cards, for some strange reason, I enjoy using pink.  So much, in fact, that I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to Pink Christmas cards.  There's just something about seeing pink images that makes me feel happy.  And there's always lots of great inspiration out there for using it.  This card was a lot of fun to make using some lovely products from Stamp Simply, but difficult to photograph.  I just couldn't seem to capture the glitter on the angel's wings.

I did use a Christmas green cardstock base layered with a bright pink cardstock.  I inked both of the cardstock layers with white chalk ink on their edges.  The background I created uses the fabulous new Vintage Christmas Background Stamp Set, and I stamped it onto a piece of pale pink paper.  I did a bit of coloring using my Copics.

The music images were stamped using the beautiful Worship & Praise Stamp Set.  The music notes give such a lovely background setting for this sweet angel.  The angel, horn and sentiment (Christmas Blessings) were all stamped using the Angels Among Us Stamp Set.  I cut the angel and horn using the coordinating Angels Among Us Dies.  Some silver Stickles were added to the angel's wings to give them some sparkle.

I did spray my card (lightly) with both white and black soot distress spray.  I didn't want to actually cover anything, so I kept it very minimal.  A few sequins were the finishing touch.  You can always find lots of great inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog and lots of great shopping at Stamp Simply.  Thanks so much for visiting me here today.  I appreciate you, and I hope you'll check out (and Follow) my somewhat new Instagram Page.

Rejoice Always w/Stamp Simply

Well, let me tell you excited I am that you've stopped by my blog.  I'm always delighted and beyond grateful when you stop by to take a peek at my cards and especially when you leave me a little comment.  It makes me so happy.  The card I'm sharing today uses several awesome stamps from Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.

I used black cardstock layered with a cool purple patterned paper from the Craft Consortium's Ink Drops - Rose 6x6 Paper Pad. The next layer is white cardstock rubbed with inks. I used the Fruit Stamp Set to stamp the grapes and I colored them with Copics. The music swirl and notes are from the Worship & Praise Stamp Set.

Finally, the sentiment is found in the Scripty Background Mini Set 2. I also added some Black Seam Binding, some Purple Seam Binding, and some Plum Baker's Twine.
