Mini Album Tutorial for The Kraft Journal

This is my week to share a quick tutorial with you as part of my Design Team role at The Kraft Journal and I decided to make another little mini paper bag album and show how to close it shut easily.
So, I started with a Kraft Paper Sack and covered it in some various Pink Paislee patterned papers.  Some of the other embellishments from The Kraft Outlet that I used include a Mini Kraft Merchandise Bag, and a journaling spot from the Black Apothecary Sticker Set.
To create my closure for this little album, I simply cut two lengths of Natural Twill Tape and attached them to both the inside flaps of my Kraft Paper Sack by covering them in double-sided red sticky tape.
Attach it here:
The ends will hang loose at the sides of your album while it's open.
As always, I have to mention that I just LOVE using Kraft Paper Sacks to create albums because they come with built-in pockets.  You can see my tag hanging out of this album page.  I used some Red Baker's Twine to tie on my vintage button.
Then, when you want to close your album and display it or tuck it away for safe keeping, it is neatly tied shut.  How cute!  This is a great use for the Twill Tape.
I hope that this little tutorial was helpful.  You can purchase everything you need to make a mini album with tie-shut closure by visiting The Kraft Outlet.  I also hope you will play along in this week's challenge tat The Kraft Journal Challenge blog - Just For Girls Challenge.

And.....because I am SO thankful for my Mother, and for all the wise women in my life, I am sharing this project in the following challenges:

Twist of Faith Challenge Blog - Challenge #36 - Mother's Day - I am SO thankful for my Mom and for all the wise and Godly women in my life, so I wanted to share this in the challenge.  I also have an encouraging sentiment on the front (a Melissa Frances rub-on quoting Oprah Winfrey on thankfulness).

The Ribbon Reel - Challenge #52 - Love Letters - I loved this red and blue combination

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Simon Says Happy Mail - This quote by Oprah is happy mail for anyone, and I sure have an awful lot of people in my life for whom I am thankful

Simon Says Stamp and Show - Challenge:  Inspired By - The front of this book is a wonderful quote by Oprah Winfrey regarding thankfulness.  If you click on the photo, you read the entire quote.  It's wonderful!  Thanks for a great challenge.

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Challenge #71 - Sparkle/Bling & Ribbon - The sparkly/blingy parts are the  Maya Road stick pin and the K & Co. brad with gems that are on the cover of my album.  And the ribbon.....well,  it's pretty much everywhere!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  Stop on by The Kraft Journal to share your "Just For Girls" projects with us, and by Word Art Wednesday (always Anything Goes).  We would LOVE to have you join us at these challenges.  The more places you share your art, the more chances you have to win and the more people who get to enjoy your wonderful art.

Have a blessed week,
Karen
