Hello, friends! I wanted to share a quick card with you today that I created last night following the "Rule of Thirds" that I learned over on the My Favorite Things Blog. I love their WONDERFUL stamps, die-cuts and supplies at My Favorite Things; and now, they are even sharing some great techniques in their Summer School Classes. There are several great lessons/tutorials, but I chose to follow the Rules of Thirds because it really helped me to understand that it truly matters where you place things, and how you choose to lay out your card to make it pleasing to the eye. This technique will be a blessing to me in everything I create from this point moving forward. Thank you, My Favorite Things.
This card was created using some Carta Bella Sew Lovely patterned papers and stickers. I touched the edges of my patterned paper with acrylic pain just to color coordinate everything nicely, and then I laid out my embellishments using the Rule of Thirds. I used a Kaiser Craft wooden dress form, and the Mini Royal Roses die-cut by My Favorite Things to create the lovely wool felt flower that I added on the wooden dress form.
