Fun With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello crafty peeps, and welcome by my blog today as I share a few cards and projects for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  There are SO many fabulous ribbons, trims, twines and goodies at Really Reasonable Ribbon that I'm always sure to find just the right touches for every project.  Today I'm sharing five simple projects that use some of my favorite trims.
I just got back home from a quick trip to visit my parents, and I also go to spend time with our middle daughter and her family.  It's always a treat when I can spend time with the kids and grandkids.  And of course, time with my Mom (parents) is always special.  Anyway...while I was away, I purchased a few new things at a fun scrapbook store including some die-cuts from My Favorite Things for making Chapstick/lip balm holders like the one above.  There's a nice length of Cherry Baker's Twine at the top of this fun lip balm holder.
My second project is the HELLO card shown above.  It uses a kraft paper base, some woodgrain patterned paper, die-cut foliage and a stamped sentiment.  The finishing touch to this quick but sweet little card is some Natural Burlap String that's strung through a little brown button and tied into a bow.
None of the projects/cards I'm sharing today are terribly complicated, and none of them have a whole lot of Really Reasonable Ribbon product on them.  I guess my point was just to show everyone how a small accent, such as the Natural Burlap String or some Baker's Twine can add texture and personality to your art work.
It's pretty much the same concept with this card (above) where I really wanted the focus to remain on the sentiment and the pretty stamped leaves.  The Natural Burlap String used on this card really pulls in the color from the kraft base.  It's a simple addition, but again adds just a lovely completed touch.
The last card I'm sharing today again uses a kraft cardstock base and then a layer of white cardstock that's pressure embossed using an embossing folder.  There are a few gem stickers, but just to give the card that extra touch of love, a piece of Green Micro Gingham Ribbon was attached.  There really is a perfect trim for every project at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and we hope you will stop by often.  You'll always find loads of inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, and there's never a shortage of beautiful ribbons, trims, twines, Embellishments, Adhesives, Mulberry Flowers, and more waiting for you in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.  Please visit again soon.

Blessings,
Karen

  2. Hi Karen, great blog post today! I especially love the card with the Hello. I have the stamp set that it is from. It’s always fun to get ideas for things already in your stash. I have gotten a ton of use from that set. Also, thank you for the mention of the twine, I need to order some for my Christmas cards this year.
