I was absolutely delighted, and quite humbled as well, when I was approached by a friend who designs for Frantic Stamper who invited me to do a Guest Design spot for them. Because I absolutely LOVE their Precision Dies, and ALL the great products they carry in the Frantic Stamper store, I immediately said YES. I'm so glad I agreed to Guest Design for this amazing company because I am smitten with the high-quality of their Precision Die-Cuts. Not to mention, they have every shape, design and image you can possibly imagine in their die-cut collection, and they easily cut through any material (paper. wool felt. vellum, and SO much more). They cut clean and crisp - just like running a knife though warm butter! I mean it......it's really that easy! They're truly awesome.
So for these fun cards, I used Frantic Stamper's Large Blue Spruce die-cut, and I am in love with it. I cut my trees from vellum and layered them to create a "snow-capped" forest. These cards turned out so beautifully that I am already looking forward to making more cards using this amazing die-cut. I added the sequins to catch the light, and make it look even more like snow on the trees.
I also used some Melissa Frances rub-ons for the sentiment (trimming the tree), Crate Paper Bundled Up patterned papers and embellishments, a seam binding bow, a piece of flair, and a chipboard tree to accent the vellum trees.
For the second card, I used October Afternoon pattern papers, silver sequins, cut and used fewer layers of the vellum trees, and made it a little bit fancier card. Either way, you have some great cards that look like a snowy winter wonderland, and I'm really happy with how they look. I can only imagine the amazing possibilities that await from using this fun and versatile die-cut.
If you're not familiar with their shop, I hope that you'll stop by Frantic Stamper to look around at ALL their great supplies, including their awesome Precision Dies. There's something for everyone, and all the cards I've made so far are just SO fun and creative; and it's all because of the amazing dies they carry. You can find EVERYTHING you need to make something amazing. I hope you will check it out for yourself.
