Hello, all you creative peeps. Thanks for swinging by my blog today as I share this sweet card I created for the new Summer themed challenge over at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog. This month we begin to celebrate Summer and that means lots of pretty things will be inspiring you. I was drawn primarily to the pretty pink hues in the inspiration photo. What speaks to your creativity?
I used black and white cardstocks to create my card base and I painted on some Weathered Blue and Spun Sugar Oxide Inks. I cut a scalloped frame to surround my image which was stamped with an old Jenni Bowlin stamp set. The sentiment (dream.) is from Pink & Main. The finishing touches were the Seam Binding bow topped with a Pink Open Rose.I also did a bit of machine stitching in black around the outer edge. I always like to sew on my cards because I like what it adds. The more textures and touches, the better. Or.....at least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I do enjoy silhouette stamps and this is one of the few I own. It's fun using an old forgotten stamp. Right? We look forward to seeing what you will create to share with us this month at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog. Just let your creativity take control as the inspiration photo leads you. Happy crafting, and thanks again for stopping by to say hello today.
I'll be playing along in this FUN challenge I love:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Simon Says "It's Up In The Air" - I love this sillhouette stamp with the star-shaped balloon flying "up in the air".
