Are you even remotely ready for Christmas? Well, get ready because it's coming! In fact, believe it or not, Christmas will be here in just four short months. This week at Stamp Simply, we're showcasing some of our favorite Autumn stamp sets, dies and products. However, I went out into left field and created a Winter card to get you in the Christmas spirit. It's never too early to start on your Christmas cards, either; and Stamp Simply has so many great products to help you make the most awesome Christmas cards and projects, Autumn cards, and cards for every other occasion you can imagine.
I used basic black cardstock, and I layered it with a woodgrain patterned paper from the Craft Consortium's 6x6 Wood Textures Paper Pad to create my card base. Next, I used a snowflake patterned paper from Carta Bella's Home for Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad to cut a circle using the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitched Circle Dies and the Fishtail Banner Dies to cut some banners from more scraps of the various patterned papers. What are your favorite color combinations? This card could easily be done in any color scheme.
I used the Christmas Stockings & Christmas Mittens Stamp & Dies to cut the mittens from ivory wool felt and the tops from the same patterned paper. I used Solid Ivory Baker's Twine to put an "old school" string on the mittens. Did you have those one? Grandma knit all mine, and they'd have a string that went through the arm holes so that you'd never lose a mitten. Are any of you familiar with this old trick from our childhood?
The sentiment (Deck the Halls) is also found in the Christmas Mitten & Stockings Stamp Set. This is a very simply card, but it shows you just how very easy it is to use Stamp Simply stamp sets and dies to create something simply sweet every time. I've always loved to cut wool felt, materials, cork and more with my dies; and the die-cuts from Stamp Simply are amazing and they'll cut through any medium I try. The wool felt is just such a warm element - just like a warm woolen mitten that Grandma made.
Thanks again for stopping by today, friends. You're always sure to find lots of great inspiration on the Stamp Simply Blog and stay up-tp-date on all the great discounts and specials taking place at Stamp Simply. Don't miss a thing.
