The Wonders of Winter

Making cards is always a lot of fun.  But every now and then, I like to try my hand at something a little bit different.  For that reason, I'm sharing this sweet little bag I made into a pocket card where you can tuck in notes, photos, candies, gift cards and more.  It's a fun way to say hello while adding a little something extra.
I used a cute glassine bag from a Crate Paper line called Snow Day.  I decorated it with patterned papers, chipboard frames and ephemera from the same line.  I tucked in some cute tags and a candy stick, but you can literally add in anything you want.  It's a cute and easy idea for those times when you want to give a card, but you also want to do give someone just a bit more.  Maybe a gift card, a photo, a tea bag, bookmark or something that lets them know you're thinking of them.
This fun idea can, of course, also be made into a card if you wanted to cut it down to size and place it on a card front.  I like giving it just as it is....sort of a little pocket card is what I call it.  They're also a lot of fun to machine stitch, creating another pocket on the front of the card where you fold up the bag.  Yes, lots of fun can be had with glassine and paper bags.  The creative possibilities truly never end.
Thanks so much for visiting me here today, creative friends.  It always warms my heart to read your comments and know that you've been here to take a peek.  I'm having a lot of fun playing along in the BYSHC Linky Party, and I hope you're playing along as well.

I'm playing along here:

Blessings,
Karen
