Paper Sweeties New Release Rewind Day

Hello again today, dear blog friends.  Thanks for stopping by again today as we do our February New Release Rewind Day at Paper Sweeties.  If you haven't seen the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit yet, you will definitely want to check out this lovely assortment of products in a convenient set.  I am enjoying each and every item in this collection, and I'm having SO much fun creating with it all.  Take a peek at all the product you'll receive in the Paper Sweeties 1st Quarter Sweet Kit 2021.
This super sweet card started with a green cardstock base and a piece of the patterned paper from the Doodlebug 6x6 patterned paper pad found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  I also attached a piece of white cardstock that I painted with ink and touched with various dots of acrylic paint to match the colors in the patterned paper creating a sweet and colorful background.  I used the Best Day Ever Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment (Wishing You The Best Birthday Ever) in Coal Black Ink.  As I mentioned before, there's a sequin mix in the Sweet Kit as well as another mix of flatter pieces; and you'll see these flat iridescent pieces on this card.  SO sweet!💗
Again utilizing more of the awesome goodies from the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit, I ran a piece of the happy birthday washi tape across my card, added some turquoise machine stitching, a few of the small disc shaped sequins, and the ADORABLE birthday cake and candles which is also a Doodlebug Embellishment found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  How CUTE are all these goodies?  I would definitely suggest grabbing yourself one of these awesome Sweet Kits before they're gone.  I'm having SO much fun creating with mine.
There are several adorable Doodlebug 6x6 Patterned Paper Pads available at Paper Sweeties, along with loads of their darling Doodle Pops Embellishments.  That's what I used for this SWEET Birthday cake and candles.  A quick and easy background, and then I stamp the sentiments using the Best Day Ever Stamp Set.  Like the new Celebrate Stamp Set and most all of the stamp sets at Paper Sweeties, there are multiple inter-changeable sentiments in these stamp sets; and this helps you make the most of your purchases.  Sets like the Best Day Ever, Celebrate Stamp Set, Blessed, and many others include multiple sentiments.  Paper Sweeties is not only ADORABLE but also super FUNCTIONAL and helpful when we're making cards for loved ones year-round.  Especially these days, right?  We could ALL use a little encouragement.
I'm so tickled to be part of the Paper Sweeties Sweet Kit Design Team, and I'm having SO much fun creating projects with this DARLING 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  I'm guessing this set will sell out quickly, as it's stuffed FULL of darling products that will help you create something extra SWEET.  I can't wait to see what my new Sweet Kit Design Team teammate, Maria Patrick, has created for today.  My guess is that she's enjoying this Sweet Kit as much as I am......and just as much as YOU will.
The finishing touch was the orange baker's twine that I wrapped around my card.  This is also found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  There's always something DARLING waiting for you at Paper Sweeties, and these lovely high-quality products will help you create the sweetest cards and projects.  Here are the links to the blogs of my talented teammates who have each prepared something special for you today.
Thanks again for joining us at Paper Sweeties for our February New Release.  I really do hope that you will check out the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit (and all the sweet products) from Paper Sweeties.  You really will LOVE all these sweet products.  Go ahead, treat yourself.

God bless y'all,
Karen

P.S.  I just learned that the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit has already SOLD OUT.  However, there are still a few of the darling new CELEBRATE Stamp Sets & Die Cuts.  You can still get this sweet new set before they're all gone as well.  There are always lots of great options at Paper Sweeties.

February New Release at Paper Sweeties

Hurray!!  It's finally time for the New Release at Paper Sweeties, and you're going to LOVE this lovely new 1st Quarter Sweet Kit with the new Celebrate Stamp Set and Celebrate Sweet Cuts.  Ever since I first opened my package containing the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit, I haven't been able to keep my hands off of it.  It's filled with the sweetest and cutest products that are helping me create such DARLING projects.  And as of today, HURRAY, you can purchase the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit at Paper Sweeties.
In an effort to showcase a good lot of what's included in this GORGEOUS Sweet Kit, I decided to make a sweet little glassine bag mini album.  I used two large glassine bags that I attached back to back.  I covered the pages using pieces of patterned paper found in the Doodlebug 6x6 patterned paper pad from the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  The sentiment that I stamped on the front of this little album is from the new Celebrate Stamp Set - also found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.
Just for fun, I'm sharing another view of the cover/entire album.  I enjoy showing crafters how easy it is to create paper bag albums, and a Sweet Kit like this makes it so simple to create paper bag albums, cards, and SO much more.  It includes everything you need to make the projects you see on our blogs.  With this view, you'll also notice all the gorgeous Seam Binding I used.  Yes, Paper Sweeties carries the most DELICIOUS Crinkled Stained Seam Binding.
The darling little cupcakes on the front cover are also found in the new Celebrate Stamp Set.  I cut them out using the coordinating Celebrate Sweet Cuts.  How cute are the little acrylic Doodlebug pieces?  There are several sets of these sweet Doodlebug Embellishments included in this Sweet Kit.  LOTS of really useful items.  I've been adding that sweet washi tape everywhere (as you'll see). SO CUTE, and that's just the cover.  Let's look inside this sweet little bag album.
The second and third pages, when flipping the cover open (to the left), are covered with Doodlebug patterned papers found in the Sweet Kit, and the colors coordinate SO well with all the other goodies.  On the left (page 2) I used patterned paper, a swatch of the fabric that I machine stitched (in quite a messy fashion, I might add).  I stamped the smaller cupcake from the new Celebrate Stamp Set (found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit) as well as the larger cupcake from the darling Cupcakes & Sprinkles Stamp Set and coordinating Sweet Cuts.
The right side (page 3 above) is also covered with patterned paper, cardstock, a sewn fabric patch from the Sweet Kit, a date sticker, and three of the acrylic Doodlebug cupcakes also found in the Sweet Kit.  I thought this page might be a great place for a photo or some journaling.
Behind that "third page" you will see a tag sticking out of the envelope pocket created by the glassine bag.  I  like to use these "tags" to create a place for journalling, photos, or anything else you might like to include in your mini album.  This way, you're giving someone more than just a card; but you're not spending a fortune on a gift.  It comes from the heart.  What's better than that?  So, you'll see (in the photos above and below) how this tag looks when pulled out.  These Doodlebug patterned papers are so bright and fun.
I used the With Heartfelt Thoughts Stamp Set for my "birthday wish list", I literally tore small piece of the fabric strips and used Doodlebug embellishments, washi tape and patterned papers all found in the Sweet Kit.  I know I say this all the time; but I really do love how all of Paper Sweeties' products work together and compliment one another - as displayed here.  They're ALL just SO SWEET.
Page 4 (left) is also covered in patterned paper and pieces of the fabric swatches from the Sweet Kit that I cut with pinking sheers and machine stitched onto the patterned paper.  Again, I stamped the words Your Birthday on this page using the CELEBRATE Stamp Set.
On Page 5 (above) I simply added patterned papers from the 6x6 Doodlebug paper pad and a piece of the Doodlebug washi tape.  In the back, there is a second pocket with a second pull-out tab/photo journal page.  Here's a picture of the second pocket insert.  I love using glassine bags.  You can pick them up at your local craft store.  This insert page has various places for journalling, photographs, a gift card, etc.  Another great benefit of making paper bag albums.  Lots of pages, pockets, and places for heartfelt memories to be stored and treasured for sure.  This Sweet Kit makes decorating these pages a pure delight, and SO easy because....everything is just SO sweet.
The FOR YOU sentiment stamped at the top of this page is from the For You Stamp Set.  I also used one of the acrylic Doodlebug cupcakes and a couple strips of the sweet Doodlebug washi tape, Doodlebug patterned paper scraps, a green Doodlebug button and embellishments, a fabric square, and did some machine stitching.  I'll be using pieces of this amazing Sweet Kit for a long time to come.  A did add a few pieces of Seam Binding here and there, in addition to the Orange Baker's Twine from the Sweet Kit.  I just LOVE how the Seam Binding adds these yummy layers to the paper bag album.
Here are the direct links to today's posts on the blogs of my talented teammates.  Please remember that Maria is also using this darling new 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  I do hope our inspirations inspire you to purchase this LOVELY Sweet Kit.  I'd sure LOVE to hear about your purchase and find out what YOU create with it all.  How exciting.
Have a blessed day.  I sure hope you will stop back by my blog tomorrow.  I have more to share with you all, and I always look forward to your visits.  Oh, and don't forget to grab YOUR 1st Quarter Sweet Kit from Paper Sweeties before they're gone.  You're gonna love it.

Blessings,
Karen

It's Paper Sweeties New Release Sneak Peek Day

I'm SO happy that you've stopped by my blog today because I have some EXCITING NEWS to share with you all.  Eeeek!!  I'm squealing with excitement here.  Well, as most of you know of me...I love to create with all things CUTE, and Paper Sweeties is full of cuteness, sweetmess, and all things lovely for crafting.  Well, today is not only  our February Sneak Peek Day at Paper Sweeties; but it's also the my first time designing as part of the Paper Sweeties Sweet Kit Design Team.  What does this mean?  Well....let me tell you.  You're going to fall in LOVE with the Sweet Kits - just like I have.  How fun!  My teammate, Maria, and I are the newest Sweet Kit Design Team Members.  We hope to inspire you to LOVE these sweet kits as much as we do - they're FULL of darling things.  Just look at this kit.
The Paper Sweeties Sweet Kit is a quarterly kit FILLED with the most lovely assortment of crafting goodies.  When I opened this Sweet Kit, I was squealing with excitement - just thinking about all the CUTE things I could create with tall of this.  You get a different assortment in each kit containing things such as the newest mini stamp set and sweet cuts (this quarter, the CELEBRATE Set), as well as things like patterned papers, baker's twine, an embossing folder, 2 gorgeous glitter/sequin assortments, darling washi tape, several Doodlebug embellishments, fabric swatches (I had SO much fun with those, as you'll see), and the list goes on.  Each quarter, the Sweet Kit is a bit different, but always FILLED with SWEET creative potential.  The photo above will show you exactly what is included in this 1st Quarter Sweet Kit 2021.
The first card I'd like to share with you today (shown above) was SO much fun to make.  I used several of the lovely items found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  I started with some green patterned paper from the 6x6 Doodlebug paper pad and I inked the edges with Pea Pod Ink Pad.  I used other pieces of paper from the same paper pad (all found in Sweet Kit) for the fun strip running down the center of the card.  I layered some cut square and rectangle pieces of the fabric swatches and machine stitched them to the patterned papers to create a fun background.  Since there was already a sentiment printed on the patterned paper, I just stamped the word HAPPY in Coal Black Ink using the Blessed Stamp Set.
Once I stitched the patterned papers and fabric swatches, I added a couple pieces of the torn washi tape (from Sweet Kit), some mini staples, an acrylic Doodlebug accent (in Sweet Kit), and I added a white mini clothespin to the top right of the card that's topped with a Doodlebug gift brad (also from Sweet Kit).  On the left, I added a cute Doodlebug Button (from Sweet Kit) to the top of the clothespin.  As you can see, my posts are lengthy this month because I had SO much fun creating all these great projects using this darling and FABULOUS 1st Quarter Sweet Kit from Paper Sweeties.
For my second card (above), I used some more of the sweet fabric swatches to cut a little "faux pocket" (using pinking sheers) that I machine stitched.  I used a piece of the washi tape, small acrylic hearts, the Doodlebug Buttons and Orange Baker's Twine, all found in the Sweet Kit, to decorate my "pocket".  The small cupcake at the bottom right is also a Doodlebug Embellishment found in this adorable Sweet Kit, as are the 6x6 Doodlebug Paper Pad that I used for my background and the CELEBRATE Your Birthday that's stamped with the new CELEBRATE Stamp Set (and cuts) found in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  WOW!  That's A LOT of SWEET stuff, and a sweet deal.
How CUTE is that washi tape?  The sentiment CELEBRATE/Your Birthday was all stamped using the DARLING new CELEBRATE Stamp Set.  This is such a FAB stamp set to own because, as we all know, Birthday cards are something we need all year long...over and over again.  This sweet set covers Birthdays as well as seven (7) other occasions that can be used all use year-round to make cards for our family, friends, and loved ones.  This set covers just about every occasion you can imagine; and it also contains two darling images.  There's a cute cupcake and a darling little gift package.  And, as always, there's a new Celebrate Sweet Cut to coordinate for easy die-cutting of the images.  You will LOVE this useful new set, and it will be available for sale as of tomorrow in the Paper Sweeties Shoppe.
When I have such CUTE products sitting on my craft table, I can't keep my hands off of them..so, I made a couple more cards to share with you today that will help give you additional "peeks" at this sweet new Celebrate Stamp Set and 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.  There's just SO much cuteness.  I used a piece of patterned paper from the 6x6 Doodlebug paper pad found in the Sweet Kit as my card base.  I took a piece of white cardstock, and brushed on an inked background using the Ballerina Pink Ink Pad.  I stamped the "Your Special Day" all over the background using Grey Fog Ink Pad.
OK, I mentioned earlier that there's a "gorgeous glitter" assortment in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit; and let me tell you, "gorgeous" doesn't even begin to describe this stunning glitter assortment.  It has three styles in the mix.....a rose gold larger circle, a smaller soft pink circle, and a micro-sized iridescent glitter.  These photos don't do justice to how pretty this glitter is in real life.  There's a second mix in the kit as well.  It has flatter pieces that I'm showcasing on some of my other projects (see Valentine's card below).
Once I had all the layers glued together, my base was inked, stamped, and ready to go....I smeared (yes, a very technical term here) craft glue here, there and (almost) everywhere.  Then, I sprinkled the "gorgeous glitter" mix on  my card.  The glitters attached themselves where I'd smeared the glue.  I let it dry completely before I attached it to the card base.  I dabbed the edges of all my paper layers with the Grey Fog Ink Pad.
I thought long and hard about adding more to this card; but I decided against it.  I just can't bring myself to cover up that gorgeous glitter.  Who knows....I may add to it later.  Possibly some Seam Binding, or a pretty Abigail.  The possibilities are endless at Paper Sweeties.  And how cute is that sentiment?  Like I mentioned above, there are a total of eight possible occasions/sentiments you can get from the new Celebrate Stamp Set.  You could use this design to create a quick and easy card for anyone...any occasion...and Paper Sweeties has everything you need to recreate this design.
And because it's Valentine's Day today, I couldn't resist sharing another little Valentine's glassine bag I decorated.  For this card (shown above and below), I used the With Love Sweet Cuts to cut the heart.  I used some vintage sheet music, white cardstock that's dry embossed using the hearts embossing folder, and I added some of flat sequin mix (both of these items are included in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit).
Down at the bottom of this card, you'll see some small wool felt hearts in cream and red that I cut using a small heart die found in the Coffee, Yes Please Sweet Cuts.  Some glittery music paper and patterned papers from Recollections, and a bit of Cherry Red Baker's Twine finish my cover.  I hope you can see where I used this darling hearts Embossing Folder on the cover and tucked in the back pocket.  It's a really cute one, and is yet another goodie included in the 1st Quarter Sweet Kit.

I hope you'll stop back by tomorrow and Tuesday for the rest of our New Release at Paper Sweeties.  And, my talented teammates each have some lovely inspiration to share with you each day as well - including our newest Design Team Member, Teresa Plunkett.  You can visit all their FAB blogs by clicking on each name above.  I know you will LOVE what you see.  My sweet and talented teammate, Maria Patrick, has also joined the Sweet Kit Design Team this month, and I know she will have some DARLING ideas to share with you all using the AMAZING new Sweet Kit.

Have a blessed and creative day!
Karen
