JOY w/Whimsy Stamps

Hello to all my wonderful and creative blog friends, and thanks so much for visiting me here today.  I hope you'll also stop by my Instagram Page and FOLLOW me there.  The card I'm sharing today was SO much fun to make.  It uses a few awesome products from Whimsy Stamps and it captures the JOY and sweetness of Christmas and the Holiday Season.
I used basic white cardstock for this card, and I inked everything with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  The frame was cut using the fantastic Scallop Six A-2 Die.  I inked every little frame and then stamped each one using different images from the Dash Away Stamp Set.  How cute!  Next, I used the Joy Word Dies to cut the letters JOY which I also inked.
The holly and berries in the center of the ornament (the O in JOY) are from the Fadoodles Holly Stamp Set.  I painted them with Tim Holtz Inks and hand cut them before placing them on the ornament.  I added glitter to the top of the ornament, and I used 3-D Foam Tabs to raise all the JOY letters to give it dimension.  Some accents with my white pen were the finishing touch.
You're always going to find amazing stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders, and so much more when you shop at Whimsy Stamps.  They have oodles of wonderful Christmas products and goodies for every occasion and season.  Thanks again for visiting me today and have a wonderfully creative week.

I'll be playing along in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says Anything Goes - Sponsored by My Favorite Things (another favorite of mine).

Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge - Challenge #77  There were so many great elements in the inspiration photo that inspired me, and I used lots of fun images on my card as well.

Blessings,
Karen

Joy Noel w/Whimsy Stamps

Hurray!  One more Christmas card I can cross off my list.  And Whimsy Stamps in always there to help me create something beautiful.  I was able to incorporate several different products from Whimsy Stamps on this sweet card.  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  If not, I hope you'll pop on over to Whimsy Stamps to check out all their fabulous stamps, dies, patterned papers and more.
Basic black cardstock was my base, and that's layered with a pretty paper from the Cozy Winter 6x6 Paper Pad.  Next, I used the largest rectangle die from the Mix & Match Scalloped Rectangle Dies to cut the rectangle from white watercolor paper.  I rubbed that paper with Spun Sugar & Kitsch Oxide Inks and then used Heavy White Gesso to add the textured background by using the Twinkle Stencil.  I used the smallest rectangle in the Mix & Match Scalloped Rectangle Dies to cut the smaller (sentiment) rectangles.
I used the New Joy Dies to cut the word JOY, the snowflakes, hearts, holly leaves and ornament.  This new Joy Die is FABULOUS.  I know I'll use it A LOT this Christmas and for many more ahead.  I added a few tiny beads from a Confetti Mix.  And finally, the stamped sentiment I used (Joyeux Noel) is found in the Christmas Moments Stamp Set; which, somehow, has disappeared from the store in the last week.  ?????  Don't ask me!
Thanks again for visiting me today.  I'd really appreciate it if you would take a moment to pop on over to visit my Instagram Page and FOLLOW me there as well as here on my blog.  I always appreciate your visits and love hearing your comments.  Happy crafting, everyone.

I'm playing along in these FUN challenges:

Stencil Fun Challenge Blog - September Challenge - Entry 3/3 - I used the Twinkle Stencil from Whimsy Stamps with heavy white gesso on this card.

ABC Christmas Challenge - S is for STENCIL and/or T is for Traditional Colors - Obviously, I used the stencil option on this card.  The stencil I used is called Twinkle Stencil, and it's from Whimsy Stamps.

Blessings,
Karen

Dash Away to Christmas w/Whimsy Stamps

Ever since I joined the InstaPinners Design Team at Whimsy Stamps, I've fallen more and more in love with all their fabulous stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders and papers, etc.  If you're a big fan of Halloween, you'll LOVE all the fabulous inspiration on the Whimsy Stamps social media.  There are some fun Instagram Hops and new releases headed your way as well.  Since I'm not a huge fan of Halloween or making Halloween cards, I thought I'd get started on a few more Christmas cards.
This card uses basic white cardstock (top) and a pretty patterned paper from the Cozy Winter 6x6 Paper Pad.  There are so many lovely patterned papers in this gorgeous pack.  The top portion was stamped using several different images from the Dash Away Stamp Set in Kitch, Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass oxide inks.  I also added a length of vintage lace.  I also added a snowflake which is from a package of paper snowflakes (Hobby Lobby) and it's topped with the gold leaves from the New Joy Word Dies.
The word JOY, the ornament pieces, leaves and ALL the stamped images I used are found in the awesome Dash Away Stamp Set.  The pretty and delicately sweet oval was cut using the Spring Ovals Die Set.  Gorgeous, right?  Some rusty jingle bells tied with Pink Baker's Twine were the finishing touch.  OH, and all those pretty sprinkles around my card are a Confetti Mix.  There are so many fabulous mixes from which to choose.
Thanks for visiting me today.  I'd be thrilled to have you also visit my Instagram and Pinterest because I need all the Followers I can get (I have SO few).  There's always loads of great inspiration on the Whimsy Stamps social media accounts as well.  I appreciate your visit here today.

Peace On Earth Challenge - Anything Christmas - Challenge #71 - I was inspired by the softer tones in the inspiration photo on this card.

Blessings,
Karen
